Went to the downtown location a few days ago and this one. Both so good. Loved this one - they have a great brunch menu with so many vegan options. I had the raw taco salad and a side of grilled tofu. My mom had vegan Monterey avocado sandwich with a side of grilled or sautéed sweet potatoes. All were super good. Would go here all the time if I lived in the area. Place was also very busy.

Order at the counter healthy food making this one different from the one in downtown Sarasota but I liked it! St Armand’s is heaven and only one block from the beach. The avocado ? toast was perfection

My review was pulled off the day of because i caught the owner red handed being self entitled and just lazy

We came in with just a few tables occupied but the staff were overwhelmed with take out and pick up orders.
We were not greeted. Ignored. Had no idea how it works in there either. There was a large table full of dirty dishes and a wall full of dirties as well. I started to bus the table myself and a girl came over and gave us menus and said nothing
The owner came in with his girlfriend, went behind the counter, ordered something and went back outside like nothing!!
It was easy to see the kids working there were overwhelmed

We sat for 15 mins i counted it and was patient.
Got up and realized we had to order at the counter BUT nothing was said and there’s no sign saying so.

We walked out. Table of 6. Spent 45 minutes for NOTHING

Will never return. What a joke of an owner and operation

My family visited Green Zebra Cafe today and had a distressing experience concerning food allergens and customer service. My daughter, who is severely allergic to tree nuts, ordered vegan tacos from a menu that did not indicate they contained walnuts. She had an allergic reaction after consuming the tacos, and only then was it confirmed by the staff that they contained walnuts.

The service was poor and dismissive, especially considering the seriousness of the situation. Despite the restaurant being busy, rushing through orders and not clearly indicating allergens can have dangerous consequences. This incident resulted in an urgent trip to the hospital, incurring both distress and medical expenses.

I urge the restaurant to clearly indicate all allergens on their menu and train their staff to handle such inquiries with more care. This experience was extremely stressful and disappointing, and I hope they take steps to prevent such incidents in the future.

This has to be criminal. $15 for a chocolate cake the size of a plastic spoon (tiny sliced strawberry for reference). We didn’t understand why the worker had to triple check with the kitchen that this was actually what we ordered. Now we know. When we called to confirm we got the right order, we were told that yes it is indeed a “bite sized” cake. Again, $15. In an economy with ever increasing prices for decreasing value, this has to take the “cake”. Save your money and go anywhere else.

Came here for lunch a few days ago and it was so good and fresh I came back for breakfast. The only bad thing about this place is that everything on the menu looks so good we have to come back over and over again to try everything!!

Nestled between ice cream stores, art galleries, and clothing stores, you'll find this vegan haven. It has a few tables outside on the sidewalk and a few more inside. The food is very tasty, and there are of course lots of options for various dietary needs (vegan, gluten free, lactose, etc). We had the sweet potato avocado toast (the sweet potato acts as the toast) and a regular avocado toast. Both were tasty, but the avocado toast was not super filling. For drinks try the very tasty (but pricey) juices.

Was excited to find a place with healthy options after reading the great reviews. The food is pricey, and the service wasn't the greatest. Loved my BLT - it was delicious! Smoothie and coffee was okay. Some of the kids menu items were not available the day we visited. The biggest issue was we were turned off by the conditions of the very visible kitchen. Lots of dirty plates stacked up beside the washroom / in other parts of the restaurant. It was unappetizing to see after the fact considering how much we paid, and didn't seem the most sanitary. Maybe we visited on an off day?
