They are closed for business. Drove by and the restaurant is for sale. Hopefully someone reopens it as another German spot.

Hands down the best German food in the Sarasota/Bradenton area . Everything was absolutely delicious and the owners were extremely hospitable. Highly recommend the jagerschnitzel!!

I was going to try this German restaurant while in town as I'm from Munich but after reading how the owner responds to reviews and talks poorly about customers and their "cheap" 20% tips, ill pass.I have no idea about the food and now, never will. You my friend need to learn to shut your mouth if you run a business.Good luck

Great place with wonderful food and tasty beer. The new owners are killing it, very down to earth and honest people. I'm excited to return and try more of the menu!

Great food with a beautiful presentation. New Owners Josh and Katya work so hard to make each of their customer’s experience absolutely wonderful. I want to try all of their menu items! Love the family-friendliness and comfortable atmosphere too. See you all very soon.

First time, won’t be our last. A hidden gem in Sarasota.Good service, excellent food. The sauerbraten was very good, and the red cabbage was delicious. The potato pancakes were a tasty surprise.Looking forward to our next visit.

I'll be honest, this is not my kind of food. As in I'd never ask for it. But my mother in law is German and she loves it. So I went along. We started with the potato pancakes. Different from Jewish deli potato pancakes. These are crisper and the potato is thickly shredded. They were delicious! Especially with sour cream and applesauce! In fact I told everyone to save one for breakfast. I had a vision of them on the griddle with fried eggs! More on that later. For the mains I had veal schnitzel with mushroom gravy and sour kraut and spaetzle. Not the sour kraut I'm used to. Very spicy! But I love spicy so I loved it. The mushroom gravy was thick, rich, and delicious. I was picturing it on a variety of foods. My wife had chicken schnitzel and my daughter and mother in law had assorted bratwurst. Everything was very good and very rich! More like cold weather comfort food. But I guess given Germany's climate that makes sense. My ONLY criticism was the lack of certain condiments. My daughter and I both had unsweetened ice tea. When I asked for a sweetener I was told there was none. Only sugar. Ok, that's a sweetener but not for ice tea. I had to ask twice and was finally brought a tiny plastic cup. Really? Don't people have coffee here? Get some Splenda! I guess next time I'll bring my own if I want ice tea. Also stingy on the sour cream. We had four plates (12) of potato pancakes and one tiny plastic cup of sour cream and applesauce. I had to ask for more then received another tiny plastic cup. Ok, next time I go I'll pack Splenda and sour cream. BTW: The next morning I threw the leftover potato pancakes on a griddle and topped each with a fried egg. Everyone loved it!Definitely will be back!

This was the second time this week I had dinner at Heinrich's The new management, Josh and his wife are running the restaurant now and doing a great job responding to the customer concerns! Both meals this week were excellent and Josh did a great job make my meal as authentic as any I have had in Germany! I will return often! TomC

4/2023 visit after we heard that Heinrich sold the business.. but based on a few reviews , we thought MAYBE the food quality, and portions would be sort of comparable- DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! Absolutely horrible from beginning to end. (THEIR WAS ONE PERSON ( wife ?) doing all the waitressing. & A new born baby crying in the kitchen ).I called for reservations days before and was given "5:15 pm for 5 guests as that's all they had " which was fine. We always took out of town guest specifically to Heinrich's in the past ..We Arrived at 5:10 w locked doors and a hand written note taped to the door about doors not opened until 5:15. We stood there until almost 5:30. We were the first seated. Then a couple arrived. Our drink orders were not taken for 1/2 hour . By 6 pm the entire place was filled. All the 8 reservation tables had : 5 guests, the couple and a table of 6. Our orders were not taken until 6:45. I was told I got the LAST roulades order that was quickly wiped off of the white board. I honestly don't know WHAT I got. It was a paper thin slice of some sort of bland FLAT meat w a bit of gravy. EVERYONES MEALS WERE COLD not warm or like warm but cold. The upgraded cost : red cabbage was INEDIBLE!! a salt lick would have been less salty. The upgraded cost potato pancakes were half dollar size and hard as a rock. We were SO EMBARRASSED for our guests to have to have gone through that disappointing experience. Please save yourself the trouble and $!!! We miss the Heinrich's that used to be.

Joshua, Katya, and little guy Jaylin. Seriously outstanding on how you guys are holding up Heinrichs reputation! My wife and I were in here when this (Shannon Doyle) was there. Don't let a negative person that has nothing going on with their life affect you.Heinrich and his wife would be proud of you guys! Your little guy was never in the kitchen. Thank you for letting my wife hold him, as to everyone else in the resturant took turns.New parents, new resturant owners, just wow! A lot on your plate, but they way you both handle it is outstanding! We look forward to coming back!I'm getting two pork shanks next time! So freaking awesome!

-1000 starsBooked a reservation for my husbands birthday just to have roaches crawling on the wall and our table. When presented with the bill the waitress was holding a baby. I didn’t want to make a scene so I paid and left. Calls to explain the situation the next evening since they’re only open 5-11 and the owner yelled at me and said he doesn’t care if they have roaches and they sprayed the roaches before they opened that night which makes them crawl everywhere. Absolutely disgusted.

I would never like to see any young business owner not be successful. But at some point in time you have to take ownership. After reading the replies it appears problematic. Our wait time for food was about 2 hours after sitting down. It took 45 minutes to receive an app and beer. When the roaches appeared with our main course, in front of the female owner, the excuse that time was blaming other attached businesses. The mash potatoes appeared to be either old or like a 50/50 of real/instant. No attempts made to make even a small discount. It’s clear you guys have some good friends leaving good reviews. But improvements need to be made with time management and professional communication. To say it was a traditional or even close of an experience, is a stretch.J. 5/2023 - BEWARE. Clearly the new owner also purchased the past positive high reviews. 2 people $145.As stated by others, small portions for the price. But worst of all several of the dishes had way too much pepper (and I like pepper). There was so much pepper in sauerkraut (love sauerkraut too) that it caused my stomach pain and we couldn't finish our food. Mentioned it to the owner/ cook and he told me I was basically wrong.2 people, bottled water, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 side of "cream spinach" that was not creamed (didn't eat and full of pepper too - told that's the only spinach we have) $145The first time I went in there it was so busy we couldn't get food in time and had to go. That made me think that this place was great. However this last time was after they were apparently forced to close by the health department, it was empty on a Friday night at the same time.** I really wanted to support this new family's business. Was excited to eat there. They even had their baby there while trying to run the business. However, the experience with the owner is similar to his reactions to negative reviews. If you look at all of my reviews I am very gracious. You should be gracious as well. Listen to what people say. No one is out to get you. **
