NEAT: Best Bar Food Lounge in Sarasota

We ate lunch at Neat today and the food was delicious!! My husband had the chicken sandwich and I had the street tacos. Everything was fresh and the flavors were amazing! Our server was very nice and we had a conversation with the owner Jeremy who talked to us about all the plans for the restaurant including a bourbon tasting experience and live music. I would highly recommend a visit to Neat!

Great new concept. Was impressed with the super friendly staff/management/owners, new menu and creative cocktails. Great place for lunch, happy hour and Dinner. Was told bottomless mimosa brunch is coming soon too so moving up the favorites list.

Had lunch there today. Food and service were both excellent!

Disappointed in drinks and appetizers. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Not sure we will return.

Great spot, the girls working behind the bar were awesome servers. I was able to sit and chill have some good food, a beer and work on the Wi-Fi with my laptop.

I need to start with the owners are fantastic.
There were two daughters that attended to our table. They clearly take a lot of pride in the family business. They were very personable and attentive to our table.

Everyone on staff throughout our time was welcoming and friendly. Mostly very young, beautiful, attentive, and friendly. There is definitely a great vibe here: The staff, the design, the ambiance.

Not to be negative, but the food was ok. I had the ribeye. No complaints. It just didn’t match the feel of the restaurant. I may have preferred something else on the menu.

My wife had the seared tuna and couldn’t eat it. She was not happy with it and she eats seared tuna all the time. We did not try to return it. I would imagine they would have offered something else instead. That is certainly on us for not addressing it.

My son was very happy with the food, with everything.

We aren’t giving up on this crew. I would imagine the burgers and the handhelds are amazing.

They have a ladies night with great deals and live music in the evening.

With some minor adjustments they will thrive.

Great spot! Good food, service was amazing. My only suggestion is to drop the lights, add candles and really give it that speakeasy feel.

I really did try to give this place an honest shot, but they went 0 for 2 for me. On the first visit, we ordered the 3 course meal. It took a really long time for each course to come. There was a huge party in the middle of the room that was loud and got very attentive service. I wish I could have experienced the same. By the time we were ready for dessert, we explained to the waitress we needed to leave, and to please bring dessert and the check. She brought the check. We paid. We waited another 20 minutes. Dessert never came. We walked out. No one noticed.

Came back a second time for burger night. We ordered 4 burgers - medium rare. They came out super well done. Totally dry and not enjoyable. Waiter came by and asked if I wanted a box. I declined. He didn't seem interested in finding out why I only had 3 bites of the burger.

We won't be coming back a third time.

What a great place! They probably have the best burgers & fries in town, not to mention their other offerings. The daytime bartender, Laura, is so personable and she keeps you informed of the specials and upcoming events.
Whether you go in for lunch with Laura or grab a group for dinner & entertainment at night, you won't be disappointed.

Drinks are great services is great. We really wanted to like it more but the food is pretty bland and tasteless. I’m hoping they’ll get a new chef and really step up their game. Wanna keep coming back to this place

I wanted to be sure I would get a good table for a Thursday night, so I made a reservation a week before the date I wanted. This was going to be an Anniversary celebration, and I made sure that was noted because I wanted to surprise my wife. Before we arrived at Neat SRQ, I stopped to pick up some friends who would be joining us: another surprise for my wife.

We arrived at seven, and I identified our party and stated we had reservations for an Anniversary dinner . As we were escorted to the possibly worst table, I had a premonition this evening was not going as I had hoped. I was right; I was horribly right. We waited for fifteen minutes before a server arrived. We ordered drinks. The ladies ordered White Cranberry Cosmos, and the men ordered Bourbon, Angel's Envy if they had it , chilled, no ice.

Twenty minutes later the drinks arrived, but the server had no idea of what was in them. Our original server returned to take our meal orders. My wife ordered the prime filet, while I ordered the Burnt Butter Bourbon Honey Salmon. I don't recall what our friends ordered. We told the server all of us would be having the lava cake for desert. Previous experience in other restaurants had taught me that it was best to let the chef know from the start as it could take time to prepare lava cake.

The server vanished and did not even ask my wife how she wanted her steak cooked. Our food arrived about eight thirty. We were upset as we had observed other customers, who had arrived after us, were being served while we waited and waited and waited. The manager discovered us as he was making the rounds. We told him we were upset but he just smiled and moved on. There seemed to be several "regulars" as he stopped at there tables and chatted and spoke to servers who then appeared to take care of their needs.

Our party had no major issues with the food which most enjoyed. It was approaching nine and the restaurant was close to empty. When we inquired about our deserts, we were asked what deserts? I'm sure the evening could have been worse but I'm not sure how. I apologized to friends for the disaster.

I don't believe I will return, ever.

This has been on our list of must try's for quite sometime. Although it's tucked away and you probably wouldn't know it was there, unless you knew it was there it was great!! Super cool atmosphere. The bar area was bumping when we walked in. Loved the decor. Immediately greeted by our server, Monica, who was FABULOUS from start to finish. She told us about her favorites on the menu as well as a few of their daily specials (hello Wednesday ?) Food was great! Daily specials and happy hour look amazing and we will definitely be spreading the word. Hidden gem for sure.
