NEAT: Best Bar Food Lounge in Sarasota

Aside from having the bartender also be the server, service was good but slow. The food took forever to come out and the mains came way before the app we ordered. The sever/bartender was kind enough to discount it as compensation which was nice. The food was very good, I had the burger lunch special which comes with a beer for value add. The burger was delicious and juicy. I subbed the regular fries for tallow fries which were large and very good. The app was the goat cheese. It was a little salty but the balsamic drizzle and salad balanced it out. All in all the food was delicious, although service was slow I would still come back.

Our first visit was pretty good. The food was great! If you like goat cheese the macadamia nut goat cheese app was amazing. The lighting is a little weird. My biggest complaint was the speed of the service. There was only one other table there and it took 20 minutes to get our app and another 10 to get our main course. Our server was very nice as well. We will definitely go back but hope the food can be delivered a little quicker.

Kenneth and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our group of 25 the food delicious the staff, friendly and accommodating, and the DJ was fantastic!

We love Frank and the other staff at Neat. The food is very good and the new Happy Hour menu and pricing is spot on for a neighborhood bar very much needed in this area. Friendly service, great food and Tuesdays incredible burgers. Good music and a great reason to step out to the southside of Sarasota. Hope to see you there. We had burgers tonight - because it was burger night - but there other offerings are also incredible.

This place was a gem. The honey mustard chicken was cooked perfectly, and the fresh cut fries were delicious. Everyone was coming in for the $10 burger, which was very fresh and looked amazing!!

I had the burger, which was the best I've had. My friend had the salmon and thought it was excellent. We will be going back soon and highly recommend.

We had a reservation at 6:30 for Saint Patty’s day, We waited over 15 minutes to get sat and when we finally got sad, it took us 15 minutes to get drinks in. We ended up leaving because it was 45 minutes before we got served. We have been here before, and the food in atmosphere and service was great, not sure what happened.

Beautiful place and great service. I had the SRQ burger and just felt like it was average. Drinks were great!

My husband and I enjoy dining later in the evening than the typical couple so when I Google searched for restaurants in our area open for an 8:30pm dinner, Neat was listed. They use Open Table for reservations but when I tried to book it, it showed no tables available. I wasn’t convinced so I phoned and a lovely young lady answered and said they had tables to come on. When we pulled up, seeing the white patio lights strung across the front terrace area set a good vibe. It was too chilly for us to opt sitting outdoors but next time we might. Amanda greeted us in as she introduced herself. She recognized my voice from the earlier call and I showed her what the app was showing. She thanked me for calling to see if they did have availability. She also fixed the reservation app before we left! We enjoyed a cocktail sitting on the bar side, overlooking a pretty fireplace and caught the last of an SEC basketball game. For dinner we split a Caesar salad (I love they plated it separately!). I had the filet and my husband ordered a bourbon chicken breast dinner. Both were delicious. I ordered my steak medium rare, and for me, it was cooked medium but it wasn’t to where I wanted to send back the order. As I said, it was delicious. Plus, it always helps when your server is attentive and personable. Thank you Carly! The owner, Amanda’s husband Jeremy, (I sure hope I remembered that correctly🥴👵🏼!!) came by and chatted with us. I find that to be a big plus! He was very personable and we enjoyed meeting him. The bathroom was immaculate. We will definitely go back. I highly recommend Neat.

We just found this place. Ohhh is it good! Don’t miss this.
