I ordered Tin's Love Boat, and I can't recommend it. It was too expensive for low quality sushi.

I ordered lunch bento box with chicken teriyaki. Worst bento ever! Very dry chicken hard to chew. Fried egg roll and steamed dumplings in a same box instead of sushi roll? Something off combination. At least service is good and welcoming.

I originally had a 5 star rating for this restaurant because I frequent it but yesterday I had surgery and called an order in for pho with oxtails, if you see the menu there is a special for $25 but comes with a lot of different meat choices. We I only received oxtails but was charged as if I received everything. The man on the phone was having a hard time speaking English but even so never gave me a total, I’m expecting a normal pho price. They charged me $80.10 for 3 pho plates with 1 meat! I called to see if we could reverse some of the charge and they claimed they “customized” it for me. Do they mean they charged me full price but took away some of the ingredients????? I couldn’t pick up or scan through the receipt until today when I felt better. All they offered was $10 off next time I dine there. Unacceptable!!! Do not let them take advantage of you!!!!

Was hoping it would be good - but sad to say it wasn’t…. we had to send the pho back and my friend just barely managed to eat their pork stir fry but left the uncooked veggies…

Enjoyed dinner at Tin Viet & Sushi Bar last night. This restaurant is yet another hidden gem in Sarasota's vast choices of restaurants! Atmosphere and decor is very serene and welcoming. Service was excellent 👍. Enjoyed an order of Drunken Noodles and their happy hour special of 2 rolls of sushi. My partner enjoyed an order of Chicken Pad Thai. Will definitely return to for another awesome dinner!

Stumbled upon this lovely restaurant after going to the market next door. The staff were so kind and friendly and we ended up going back the next day for happy hour! We had the sweet and sour stir fry, the papaya salad and won ton soup - all were excellent and served with a smile! Please stop by and support this lovely local business! Thanks again!

Food was pretty solid. And for a place that seemed kinda low staff, all the workers gave such good service. Checked up on us frequently. But there was a singer while we were eating, and they were beyond noisy. I actually had to scream talking to the person that was a foot away from me. Please lower that volume of that speaker

Tin, Việt & Sushi Bar – A Hidden Gem in Sarasota

Nestled next to Detwiler’s Farm Market at 6090 N Lockwood Ridge Rd, Tin, Việt & Sushi Bar is a delightful fusion of Japanese, Vietnamese, and Thai cuisine that offers an inviting mix of authenticity, ambiance, and affordability. From the moment you walk in, the chill jazz soundtrack, warm lighting, and thoughtfully curated decor create an atmosphere that feels both intimate and stylish—perfect for a date night or a relaxed evening out.

Food & Drinks: A Flavorful Exploration
Tin, Việt & Sushi Bar masterfully blends Asian flavors, offering a diverse menu that encourages repeat visits. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh sushi and sashimi, comforting Vietnamese pho, or flavorful Thai curries, the menu delivers with quality ingredients and well-balanced flavors.

The lychee martini is a must-try—smooth, fragrant, and only $8 during happy hour (4 pm - 6:30 pm).

The selection of Japanese and Thai beers adds an authentic touch, and at $3 for a domestic beer, happy hour here is one of the best deals in town.

A standout surprise? This is one of the few places in Sarasota where you can get authentic Vietnamese coffee—a perfect pick-me-up with its bold, rich flavor.

Service & Atmosphere: Above & Beyond
The hospitality at Tin, Việt & Sushi Bar is as memorable as the food. Tin, the owner, personally greeted us at the bar, making us feel truly welcomed. It’s rare to find a spot where the service feels so genuine and personal, and that alone makes this a place worth returning to.

The live music and occasional karaoke nights add a fun, social dimension to the experience, but even on a quieter night, the ambiance is relaxing, romantic, and effortlessly cool.

Final Thoughts: More Than Just a Meal
We walked in looking for a good meal at a reasonable price. We left with a new favorite spot. Tin, Việt & Sushi Bar isn’t just about great food—it’s about the full experience. Whether you’re coming for the sushi, the cocktails, or simply a cozy place to unwind, this restaurant delivers. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back soon!
