Great food but the service is slow. The wait staff also tend bar and this leads to extended wait times for food and drink. That said, the quality of the food is fantastic and very close to what you would get in Italy...
What a treat!. But please know that this is no ordinary restaurant. My wife and I spent a three-hour high-spirited, joyous New Year's at IT. The dinner was wonderful -- fine food prepared and served with elegance and grace, and Italian flair. For piles of pasta and chicken parm, it would be best to go elsewhere. But if you want to step a bit outside standard American culture for a few hours, and are willing to pay a bit for the privilege, IT is a good bet. Enjoy.

This restaurant in the Rosemary district in Sarasota is one of the more authentic Italian restaurants. The new owners came from Rome six weeks and have brought Italy with them and the food is as tasty and well prepared as anything you can find in that country. The outdoor terrace is lovely and the service is perfect. Couldn't recommend more highly.
