We stayed at the Ritz for our vacation in sarasota. And ate at the restaurant for lunch one day. They have an exceptional seafood menu. My husband got the fish tacos and very much enjoyed them. I'm vegetarian and the options were limited but the bartender was kind enough to discuss with the chef options to help accommodate my dietary restrictions and they made vegetarian tacos. Which was such a nice gesture. The tacos were filled to the top and the flavors actually worked well. They bar tender was great!

The entire team went out of their way to wish us a happy anniversary, but it was Jennifer who truly made the evening magical. She orchestrated every detail with grace and precision: our glasses were never empty, our meals were perfectly prepared, and the pacing of the evening was flawless. Her warm smile and genuine care made us feel incredibly special, and her presence elevated the entire experience. We had a wonderful experience at Jack Dusty on a Friday evening, to celebrate my retirement. Our waiter, Austin, was fantastic, and treated us like very valued and welcomed guests, and provided outstanding service. The atmosphere was lovely, and a bit lovely when we first arrived due to a celebration happening at the bar, but then got quieter so we could enjoy our meal and talk in normal voices. The Siren cocktail and a of a lovely white wine started our dining, followed by the incredible Seafood Sampler - with poke tuna, fish dip and ceviche - which was delicious and very generous potion size! It could be a light meal on its own! Our entrees (grouper and cippino) were also very good with lots of seafood in the cioppino and crab on top the grouper. Only slight improvement would have been that the grouper was slightly over cooked, but it was still flavorful and good. We finished by sharing some of their homemade sorbet which was a perfect end! Took a walk around the grounds after dinner and enjoyed the sunset to and the evening there.

Excellent food and excellent service. It is expensive, but was the best seafood we had near the hotel we were staying at. Absolutely worth trip, and in fact ate here several times during our trip for both lunch and dinner.
Yes, the food is top notch. Yes, the view of the water is beautiful. Yes, the atmosphere is elegant and class. But, the service provided was... beyond excellent! Catered to every request and need that I didn't even know was needed. I came for the food, the view and the atmosphere. I'm coming back because of the service.

We were greeted at the door by Joe who sang happy birthday to the birthday girl and then Mike was our server who made an extra special presentation for birthday dessert. The food was excellent, we had calamari, ceviche, red fish, and salmon. The peach cobbler cheesecake finished the meal off.

Breakfast is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but other meals are only ok. Bar is great. Service is good but lower than the rest of the property. There are much better dinner restaurants close by for the same high price. Would recommend for breakfast and as a fallback for other meals.
