Our waiter Alec was great, The food was mediocre at best. Food wasn't neither fresh nor tasty. It seemed it was just thrown together from the day before. Would not recommend nor return.
Just a small complaint, not enough to keep up from loving this place but we couldn't have a heater outside because they were out of propane so just making sure they are filled and plentiful would really step up the situation. We love Jpan. Always a family favorite.
Too many 'American-focused' sushi menu items. Service was good but not great. Ambience is nice and location is great. I would do it again because the sushi is good and there are not many alternatives. I just wish we could find one that would be great in the Lakewood Ranch/UTC area.
Each order came out separately with quite a bit of time in between. One diner was finished eating before another got her meal served. Some dishes were only warm not hot. Service was terrible. See above. Also server got two orders wrong. Most diners liked their food when it finally arrived.
Visited JPAN twice during our stay in the area. Food was excellent both times. Dined with group of 6 and everyone was impressed with food quality and selection. Nice ambiance and good service. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing dinner - the food was incredible as was the service. We were able to take advantage of happy hour and the wine was great quality, the other cocktails and drinks we ordered were delicious as well. The service was very prompt, and our server was very friendly, courteous and attentive without being smothering. The dishes we ordered were all delicious, fresh and creatively presented. We were very impressed and will be back!
Sushi was excellent. Service was rough. We set our own placemats with menus, chopsticks, etc. went 31 minutes at one point with no check in. Never was asked for an additional drinks.
Love this place bc of the extremely happy employees making sure your experience is top! My food is ALWAYS beyond perfect and the drinks are amazing~ to my surprise we had an amazing 3 piece band who were spectacular (guitar ~ violin~ double bass) I highly recommend this restaurant on every level♥️
We were a party of 7 this evening and I guess since we were a guaranteed 20% gratuity the waiter decided to not deal with our table much at all. Terrible service, the food was pretty good but that bad service is the lasting impression.
Always a wonderful experience! The wagyu is delicious and Max makes the best Old Fashioned in town!

I did have high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews but it was still a disappointment unfortunately. Atmosphere was great, service was good but food didn’t meet my expectations at all. For the prices they charge here I’d expect better quality and put together rolls, but the presentation was great as shown in my pictures. I probably won’t return or recommend.

Took my family here and it was good, not great. I’d say average. Edamame wasn’t salted, one of the rolls came out wrong and the service was spotty at best. The atmosphere is just ok but the outside seating looked nice (too hot for me at the time). The food was good though and my sushi rolls were very tasty and fresh. My children enjoyed their meals and while I would go back, It’s not a must go back.
