We were sat on the bar jpan side and liked it better then the other side of the restaurant. Good music, great decor, great food. The server was also a bartender and was on her game. She was always around when we were ready for next items.
Everything Daniel Dokko touches seems to turn to gold. As the owner of two JPan locations, Kore, and soon another new restaurant in Lakewood Ranch, he has mastered every aspect of the business. Just as importantly, he knows how to hire and inspire staff who carry out his vision with respect and consistency—a rarity in the restaurant world. We have been going to Jpan for years. Our service last night was not good. Waitress seemed annoyed about everything. Food tastes good. Prices have gone way up. The hostesses up front were snooty. Just a different vibe of what it used to be like.
