I love shopping here for the “old country” delicacies. I especially love pelmeni and tea biscuits (the same kind my grandmother kept on hand decades ago.) The store has hundreds of items for every taste. The service is prompt, and the POS accepts Apple Pay. I am grateful to the owners for their dedication to keeping this place well stocked and available to the folks in Sarasota.

It says on Google maps that you are open, we came to you from afar, but there is a sign on the door that is closed on Monday. Upset beyond words...

I was at this store recently and bought a lot I wanted to try the string cheese and they had multiple different ones so I asked the sales man which one is his favourite and he handed me the one that I payed for When I got home I opened it and it tasted really weird I tried many kinds and it never tasted like that Then I checked the expiration date on it and it was expired more than a month ago Basically he handed me not his favourite one but the one he needed to be sold Never buy anything there before checking the date and never trust the sales man

While in the store I was approached by a female with two boys . They handed me a note saying “ my husband just died , and we’re hungry please buy us food” I felt very uncomfortable, but said ok you can get few cheat things . While cashier ( male ) was scanning my items I made a comment “ I guess they want me to buy their food” hoping he would jump in and ask them to leave instead of harassing and begging for food/ money at the store . Instead the cashier proceeded to help them pick out very expensive salami ($20) then continued to take other items from their hands ….. I spent $22 on my items and $54 on theirs ! As a store owner/ worker one would think to jump in and help.. I will never be back there . Do not go there . You are not safe there .Also as I was leaving the boys stayed in the store while lady went out to her car…. So this could be a store scam of some kind ? Very sketchy .

European origin, imported food. Excellent choice of Polish and Russian products. Sweets, groceries, cold meats, sausages, canned food, cheeses, beer and wine. Friendly owners. Moderate prices. Plenty of parking.

Extremely overpriced, products are often spoiled, especially drinks and canned goods. The store is dark, and unkempt. Service is sloppy, disrespectful. The owner (middle-aged lady) can easily sass, in response to simple questions about quality or shelf life. It's funny that the store is called "Kiev" but sells a lot of russian products.I just don't go there anymore, and advise to stay away.

I love this store even if I visited it once. There is an extensive range of food from different European countries. The owner and all personnel were polite and respectful. Thank you for your great service!

Kiev is named after the capital of Ukraine, which is now being attacked by Russia. how is this that after all the sanctions against russia this store is able to offer even more selection of goods from russia then before? makes me sick to my stomach. The owner disregarded my question. im never going there again.

Kiev Deli Sarasota, I went in there because I saw in the window that they had Mediterranean food and it was a deli so I thought it was a sandwich shop but they don’t normally make sandwiches but he said sometimes they do upon request. He’s a really nice gentleman in the year. We had a long conversation and he made this amazing sandwich for me and it was of $10.99 and I thought it was a bargain because it was HUGE and I’m gonna go back!!

Stopped in for a sandwich at lunchtime. Friendly man behind the counter made a great sandwich. The pickle was a nice surprise when I got home to eat it. Store was super stocked with Eastern European goods and treats. Will return!!
