Quaint little place on Osprey Avenue. The small interior leads to a very intimate atmosphere with a side bar available if you want to just stop in for a few drinks. Outstanding service with quick attention paid by the server. The burger was very good and cooked well, along with generous pieces of bacon. Seasoning on the fries was delicious, as well. A definite hidden hole-the-wall gem that should not be missed.

What an awesome little hidden gem. It's been there forever, super cozy, and the food is spot on for the atmosphere. Took out two young children there for an easy dinner night and everyone loved it. Had a snafu with my burger being undercooked, and I thought it might be a bad ending, but the staff took care of it fast and painless, were super nice, and I had a perfectly cooked burger out 5 min later. Met the owner, an he was just as nice and friendly as the rest of the staff. We will be going back for sure!

Service was good. No parking lot, had to drive around. Fish and chips looked good, fish had fishy taste. Left most of it. Second chance…Will try something else next time, if that’s bad not going back.

We stopped in Knick’s for lunch and to place a carry out order for my son and daughter-in-law who were at Sarasota Memorial and just had a baby. It’s a small place and most of the tables were full. A waiter took our order. After waiting 45 minutes we saw them deliver food to other customers who walked in only 15 minutes ago. I finally asked them about our food and they never submitted it to the kitchen. Then after 5 more minutes had to come back to us and ask us what we ordered! Still waiting, I watched the waitress deliver the same food we ordered to another table. You would think they would have served us first, but no. Food was just okay. They placed our takeout order at the same time as our re- order and we still had to wait another 10-15 minutes after paying the bill to get it. The bill was $59.35, I handed them $60 and never came back. Needless to say I did not leave a tip and that’s the first time in at least 20 years I haven’t. The waiter mumbled “sorry” as he put our food on the table. Seriously?

Edit: Knicks is not the same as Legends. Knicks is a fine establishment and i highly recommend a visit. Don't confuse Knicks with Legends Sports Bar.

Love Knick's Tavern for the best Burger in town, amazing team and perfect "neighborhood" atmosphere. This is a local firm with a big contribution to the community. I've been eating here for years.

Unexpected little gem around the corner from Sarasota Memorial Hospital. I went there for lunch with my mom and we had a great time. Attentive and friendly waitress, lots of menu options, cool pub vibe and good food. They have an outside street patio and a bar. I'll be back to try the dinner menu soon.

Great local restaurant. 21 years in business. I had scallops they were great. The deserts are coming made in house. Bar next door also owned by Knick so you can order the same food in a more casual stop. Prices are reasonable.

it has been a while since i have eaten there, my friends go all the time. i ordered the veggie stir fry with salmon. it was really good and hit the spot after a good walk of the Ringling Bridge. the house New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine was really good. the only negative were related to the dining experience, unfortunately, the table we all sat at, was under the AC vent and it was freezing, however, our waitress brought us all blankets to cover our shoulders. the cushions on the chairs too, really need to be replaced or thrown out. just a suggestion. :)
