Good Korean food and friendly service although area is a little shady at night.I got the bibimbap on stone pot and husband got kimchi chige. Also had souju, mandu and seafood pancake. Everything was delicious! The ssam, especially the potato, were all good too.They sell kimchi which is made in house! Will def come back.

We've eaten at many Korean restaurants in New York, Los Angeles and Korea, and this restaurant was the best we've ever found outside those places! We ordered the kalbi lunch special, and since lunch specials didn't include sides, also a dinner item, the hot pot bulgoki stew. Both had a lot of beef, and it was very tender and tasty. The stew also had plenty of vegetables, tofu and clear noodles. The lunch dish did have a side of mixed vegetables American style. Service was friendly and attentive, which isn't always the case in Queens! We'll be back.Just a side note, there's a pretty well stocked Asian grocery store next door.

Very casual place—almost a diner-type vibe. Loved all of it. So delicious. Super cute place with wonderful authentic Korean food and friendly service. Seating wasn’t super comfortable and restaurant looked a bit run down but it was so dang great that it didn’t matter. I’ll def be back.

Absolutely delicious and we had such a wonderful time there. Please trust me when I say this because my family went there for 3 meals: 2 dinners and 1 lunch ? and they were all delicious. We wouldn't have done this if their menu wasn't full of such a wide variety of meals. The menu is really wide and varied and everything was delicious. It was such a shame that everytime we wouls all started eating before I could take pictures of the food (I only took a picture of one). We had galbi, soon tofu, jjampong, jajangmyeon(twice haha), naengmyeon, korean spicy BBQ chicken (also twice), spicy squid stir fry and more. All of it was delicious. This place is perfectly family friendly and really welcoming. However, one thing to note is that they don't have sushi anymore on their menu which might be disappointing for some people but don't let that deter you from trying some really good authentic Korean food.Dietary restrictions: There are vegan and vegetarian options that are marked on the menu as well as a choice of spiciness levels (0-5)Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly
I had heard great things about Korean Ssam Bar so my wife and I went with some friends. We got the Yuk Gae Jang and Soondubu jigae. They were both extremely flavorful and contained a ton of food. All of the banchan was also nice. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to others looking for authentic Korean food.
The food is always so delicious, I always come here when I'm homesick of my moms cooking and am never disappointed! Especially the soon tofu soup and kimchi pancake. Probably the best Korean food spot in sarasota!

My husband and I love coming here whenever we crave Korean food. Their rice is unique, the banchan (appetizer plates) has a lot of variety, the dishes always come out piping hot (quite literally) especially when it's served in a stone pot - see my video, it was still bubbling for several minutes after it came out! Bulgogi, galbi, ramen, bibimbap, it's all been so good. What my husband loves most is how their higher levels of spice are truly HOT. Only one time has he been disappointed recently, just with the small amount of meat he got in his Korean fried chicken dish. Inflation is high, for real, we all know it, but no one wants to leave hungry. This only happened once, and it's not enough to dissuade us from coming back. I believe I heard the owner say they do not serve sushi anymore, just a heads up. Their menu is marked to signify what is vegetarian friendly. All in all, the flavors are so good that we're repeat customers for life!Parking: The place is located in a strip shopping area with a decent amount of spots for parking right in front. No need to worry about finding a spot.
