Lila is a must visit for those preferring a healthy plant-based cuisine! Our server, Liz, was pleasant and knowledgeable with menu selections. The food was superbly prepared with enticing appearance and exquisite flavors. Highly recommend :)
What a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, and they have lots of vegan options, - lucky for me because I am vegan. Our waiter was super helpful, and very kind and attentive. We loved it here!
Lila, what an amazing surprise! I chose the restaurant for a vegan friend's visit. My husband and I will be back time and time again. I had the Moroccan Bowl which is Vegan and absolutely delicious. My husband had the Bison burger which was fantastic. We tried two desserts, vegan chocolate mousse and vegan cheesecake, again incredible.
Overpriced and only fair quality. We wanted to like this place but won't go back based on our experience.
High quality dishes for either lunch or dinner - my go to place in Sarasota. Menu is mostly vegetarian/vegan, but dishes are clearly labelled Vegan. Many locally sourced and organic ingredients. The seitan chicken sandwich is great, as are the many bowls options. Their several unique vegan sushi rolls are probably my favorite - but is hard to pick one! The staff are always great. Would give five stars if Happy Cow didn't reserve that rating for restaurants that are wholly plant-based.
Many gluten free options . Our waiter was very aware and knowledgeable on gluten free sensitivity . I will definitely be back . Food and drinks were amazing .
5 stars as always!!! Delicious and healthy food with great service and presentation. We eat here every night we are in town. Thank you!!!!
Disappointed in our meal. Had the recommended crab roll which was one-dimensional with too many sauces. The addition of some cucumber sticks would add some much needed crunch/texture. The “just like a Big Mac!” explanation from the server about the mushroom burger seemed a little off, but I ordered it anyway. Again, the lack of textures was a turn-off, and the flavor of the burger didn't push through the buns and toppings. The bison burger wasn't anything special. Ended on a high note with the the blueberry cheesecake. The seed granola “crust” made it.
Don't let the small storefront fool you. The get is tucked away not he main street in Sarasota and is worth exploring. There are other restaurants on this street but Lila's is worth the hour drive I made from St Pete. I wish we had one here. They do have sustainably managed meat and fish available, I went for the vegan options. What first appears like a storefront on the main street, opens up into an expansive space,. It is esthetically pleasing, simple and elegant. Open AC ductwork and the ceilings naturally made with wood, give you a warm but clean and welcomed feeling. You know the food will be prepared and presented the same, and it is. We were greeted by a lovely young lady, I didn't get her name, seated and given menus and told that Shane would be our server. Shane greeted us and offered menu suggestions, bot of them knew the menu well. We took the suggestions and I am still dreaming about the mushroom burger! I like fabulous food, with a lot of flavor, well prepared... Lula offers that... the in house prepared mushroom burger with the in-house prepared pickles is a completely tart bud captivating experience! I will drive to get this burger more often. And, according to their team, people do. I cannot say enough good things about this experience... If your taste buds prefer higher quality experiences - Lila, is definitely the place.
I got the bison burger, which was yummy (I would return for this in particular). My wife got the filet, which was good, with a little bit of hard fat cap (one or two bites). We enjoyed sharing one of the vegan sushi rolls, which was different and fun. The downside was the filet sides were relatively small, as was the dessert. Overall, my wife and I felt the price was a bit high for the experience.

Always fresh and delicious...chef uses unexpected food combinations to create a unique experience.
I was having dinner with my husband and 3 friends. When I initially told my husband he was not thrilled-vegan, vegetarian and a fish or bison burger. My friends are vegetarians so ok. By the time we finished my husband was delighted and said "I can't wait to eat here again-the flavors, the bread!!! Flavors indeed! I had a South American salmon on a bed of spinach with a lovely sauce. The GF,V bread and butter were outstanding. My husband and one friend had bison burgers they loved and the other 2 each had a bowl. Apparently the tofu was really good. And I had a delightful glass of Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa. The service was really good and it was a fine meal.
Food was excellent. My favorite place for vegan sushi and my husband got the chicken which he loved as well.
Food was very good...fresh/healthy/creative options. Server was extremely awkward-border-line rude. We all agreed would not return if she was there.
Lila has a perfect number of vegan options with several non-vegan options that seem ethically sourced. All the appetizers, sushi and salads on the dinner menu are vegan, 4/8 of the warm options are vegan. I had the rice tots as an appetizer and the mushroom burger as the main. I thought the rice tots were delicious, both the accompanying sauces provided a unique flavor and options for preference. The mushroom burger was also great, though I was glad I request thousand island dressing on the side because I don’t believe that was the ideal sauce option. I would have recommended a vegan garlic aioli instead. The mushroom burger is made of oyster mushrooms, so a more elevated composition from what you might receive from the grocery store. The one downside of the restaurant was the price point, I feel it was slightly higher than what was justified for what you received. From what we’ve all experienced of the farmers market, oyster mushrooms aren’t cheap but the rice tots as well were a bit much for some fried rice. That being said, it’s also located in downtown Sarasota so what can you expect.
