Loved this place! The food was great, service was great even Angelo would serve you and converse or make jokes!! Sadly, it seems, they are permanently closed! I hope he's ok, he battled with a terrible case of Covid several months back!! Hopefully, he's fine and will open up again somewhere else! Miss you Lemoncello!!

We had a ball and ate some authentic Italian food. The food was delicious and all of the staff amazing. Reminded me of being around my own Italian family. It was my son's birthday and chef angelo treated him like a member of his family. They were goofing around like they've known each other always. Chef angelo even let my son participate in preparing our tables meals.. Then he even spoiled him with dessert.We had friends from out of town with us so we saw a variety of prepared dishes. Shrimp scampi, eggplant parm, veal chop. Chicken marsala with gnocchi, the truffle cheese wheel special, and chicken parmesan. Also had limencello of course!Prices were reasonable. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Reservations recommended. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful tiny place to dine. Service was very good, although very busy. Entertaining and friendly dining experience! Very nice wine selection! The Pollo Marsamico was excellent, very flavorful. The only nit is the chicken, while incredibly tender, was approaching being a bit on the dry side (still very enjoyable). I probably wouldn't have even noticed but I'd recently had a Chicken Marsala elsewhere that was very tender and juicy but not even close to as flavorful. The Pollo Limoncello (Vitello with subbed chicken) was excellent. Great balance of all the flavors! The ending limoncello sorbet shot was a perfect palate cleanser. The departing rose was also a special touch!

Angelo makes you feel right at home, and always goes above and beyond! Delicious food, great cozy atmosphere. Grew up in jersey/NY and have been craving good quality Italian food - you will be very happy here! Get the cheese wheel gnocchi. Watermelon salad is also a favorite. Coming from a foodie, definitely GO.

Just got home from dining at Angelo’s Limoncello. I have been there many times, and every time I go there it is beyond FABULOUS. The food is always the very best, freshly made and absolutely wonderfully delicious. The Chef Angelo is friendly and always welcoming and amazing at what he does. I cannot say enough good things about Angelo and that beautiful restaurant. Don’t be fooled about the location, it is a little off the main drag, but it is the best in Sarasota.

Make sure you get a reservation or they will hold it against you all night ! I called ahead 15 minutes early, a table was open outside and they said we could be seated. It took 20 minutes to get water and our menus. We placed the order for an appetizer and our dinner. The bread was burned and the mussel appetizer was old with no flavor whatsoever. After waiting over an hour and a half for the main course, we asked for an update. We were told by the manager that it's busy and we didn't have a reservation. Her last comment was that we got our bread and appetizer so we should be happy... The main course finally came after 2 hours and was worse than the burned bread. Zero flavor, overcooked and inedible .We endured the worst food, and service within 200 miles of Tampa Bay for over 2 hours so you don't have to! Save yourself the trouble and go to Conners or other quality establishments.

Brought 4 additional family members for a special meal. 1st. all their seafood was blacked out on the menu. 2nd 2 of us ordered one of the veal dishes. 20 minutes later the woman spokes person came to the table and stated they were out of veal. I said why didn't you tell me when I ordered. Silence... I order a veal chop in its place which of course delayed all the other meals. It was over done. They never offered to take the 2 meals off the bill. I would never go back and have told the story to the many people I know.
