The live music was great. The musicians played good music and sang well. However, I noticed that at one point (maybe 9:30 pm)several security personnel came around on the floor. I counted seven. I did not feel comfortable with one standing on the mid stage overlooking the crowd as if he was looking for someone or expecting something to happen. I did not feel at ease and that was the moment my group and I decided to leave.
Additionally, the food was good. However I ordered a steak mofongo. The portion was healthy. The steak was thin strips and somewhat fatty. I do not eat pork and found small pieces of pork in the rice. I traded the rice with a dining companion that eats pork. I was completely turned off when I found small pieces of pork in the mofongo also. This was supposed to be a steak mofongo. Not every person eats pork. There was nothing mentioned in the menu about this.

We came in for a late lunch/early dinner and the food and service were perfect. The potions are huge. If you order mofungo, just know that one order is enough for 3 people. The oxtail stew is super tasty but it is more of a soup than an actual stew.

The service was great, and the empanadas and tostones were perfectly thin, tasty and crispy. The mofongo not only tasted good but also had an impressive portion, with such a reasonable price. There was a nice ambiance with a live singer there. We also got a special soup on the house. I’d highly recommend this place to everyone!

My husband and I went to lunch on New Year’s Eve for the $1 Empanada Special. Diana , the Shift Manager, sat us and took our order. From the start she was unwilling to assist us and answer our questions. She was not smiling and seemed frustrated and annoyed to take our order and answer our questions. She rolled her eyes and was unpleasant. My husband inquired about the cheese empanada and she offered that he could also select the Venezuelan and Colombian cheese empanadas. She failed to mention that only the Puerto Rican Empanadas were $1 so when we got the check we were shocked to see that the Colombian and Venezuelan Empanadas were $4 each. Valeria was our server and she was very helpful and listened to our complaint and the bill was adjusted but we still had to pay $4 for the Venezuelan Empanada and $4 for the Colombian Empanada. Diana apologized but we still had to pay the bill even though we were never told that the Colombian and Venezuelan Empanadas were not part of the special. She should have said that they were not part of the Special. Diana should not be a Manager and should not be taking care of customers. Valeria on the other hand was very helpful and listened to our questions and did her best to assist us. Diana provided the worst service we’ve ever had a LQ. How in the world do you have Diana at the front door the house?

So if you are at the table and someone other than you orders dressing for their salad the entire table is charged 2 dollars for the dressing. Thinking this was a mistake I asked the waitress and she said that the rule that they follow is if one person ordered it each check at the table is charged. Also or order did not come out right at all. I believe it to be a language barrier. We couldn't understand her nor could she understand us. We all received things we did not order and did not get the things that we had. We waited 40 mins to even place an order and every time I flagged a waitress down they would act like they did not see me and pass on by. Food was mediocre and lacked flavor. Not sure if this place was just having a bad day or a really bad day.

Absolutely worst service , food and experience. We brought my in-laws here tonight to celebrate new years . Sat for 30 mins before being offered a water . Waited 2.5 hours just to get the most disgusting looking food . My family is Puerto Rican and it was so embarrassing. None of us actually got to eat bc it was undercooked and had to send it back . We were ignored pretty much the entire time . I will never recommend this place ever . Also drinks were served in tiny plastic cups yet we were charged $12 a drink . I was embarrassed and am still pissed off as my family Drove almost 3 hours to come have dinner with us . We had to chase down the waitresses just to get a drink .We never got to eat. Waste of time and money .

I've been working in the downtown area for a month now, and this is the only place I come out to have lunch. Price is more than reasonable! Customer service is exceptional and the food tastes great! I've had everything on the lunch menu which let me say at $6.99 it's a steal! It also comes with authentic chicken soup! A must go to!!
