This place was taking online orders on a Saturday night which was a complete disaster even with ordering before 5:30pm. They also never started the food until I got there 25 min later and I had to wait another 45 in store. On top of it all they missed 2 items in my order and gave us 7 french fries with the PoBoy. Tried to call and they didn’t answer. So I had to drive back with the order. Upon arriving I saw their phone sitting off the hook. Asked for a resolution and they said “there’s nothing we can do now so we’ll call you back later this week.” Poorly run spot. Never go again. Maybe in person is better but they should probably shut down all online and phone orders on the weekends.

One of the best local places to get sea food!
The food here was spectacular. We had sea bass and hog fish with key lime pie for dessert.

Everything is so good in here . Oysters are fantastic. Fried calamari is fresh and crispy. Daily fresh fish. Service is fast. Waiters are very nice. My favorite is Mark and Todd! They are kind and sweet. Please come here and try it, you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I have been dining here for the past few years. The seafood and the way it is prepared is some of the best in the area. However the atmosphere, in particular the music, has changed significantly over the past several months.
For instance when we stopped in for lunch Saturday afternoon, the genre being played was not at all conducive to an enjoyable dining experience since it was all heavy metal from the 70’s. We generally enjoy ‘Oldies’ from that period, but when it's one ‘headbanger’ tune after another, not to mention lyrics that are not ‘family friendly,' how could anyone of any age, feel relaxed enough to enjoy a nice seafood dinner.
Hopefully the owner will read this review and consider a change of policy. In the meantime unfortunately, we will be ordering take-out only.
I got a lobster roll and my mom got fish tacos. They were both so good!! Surprisingly, their french fries were one of the best I’ve ever had. I didn’t go inside (so I can’t comment on that) since I had my pup with me but we were happy to be outside. The waiter was extremely kind to us and I couldn’t decide between a few items. The food itself was amazing… I’d love to go back!

A family favourite in Lakewood Ranch serving fresh ‘catch of the day’ fish paired with freshly prepared vegetables or choice of salads. The service was excellent and attentive. The shareable key lime pie capped off our delicious meal and shouldn’t be missed. The oyster platter appetizer slid down the hatch perfectly! Well done!

We were in town for an event and happened upon Lucky Pelicans and lucky we felt as the food was delicious, staff were friendly and prices reasonable. We will definitely return!
We have been to the Lucky Pelican many times. We go for the good food, casual atmosphere, and friendly staff. Last night our service was poor and the atmosphere awful. The staff started closing up an hour ahead of time and the rock music was blaring. I asked 2 different staff members if they could turn down the music and it didn't happen. We had guests and were embarrassed because of the extremely loud music and lack of attention to our requests. Will not be retuning anytime soon.

I’m not much of a seafood person but this place was awesome!
We sat outside with our dog and baby in a stroller. Loads of room and just over all nice area. Our server, Jennifer, was nice and attentive. No complaints.
Now, the food! The bread; delicious. The baked oysters; superb. And the salmon tostadas (I remind you I don’t care for seafood much) were perfectly balanced and not fishy at all!
I ordered before the appetizers came out and ordered a salad with chicken but if I had waited I totally would have trusted them and ordered something seafood related. Wanted to try the crab but wasn’t 100% sure, now I wish I had! Guess it will have to wait for the next visit!
Was it good? Yes
Would we go back? Also yes

The food here is so delicious!! I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy, It did not disappoint. The Shrimps were huge and cooked to perfection. They offer outdide dining, which is what we choose, being such a beautiful day. This restaurant is a must if you are looking for a great seafood meal.

Great food! Get there early for no wait. Service became a little spotty as it got more crowded, but it was very friendly. Excellent menu choices with a ton of options. I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area!
