Take out for four. Extra bread. Great fish and chips and the Ocean Burrito was fantastic.

Came here for the first time, outside rush hours. The outside seating is lovely, but you lose a bit of the server’s attention. The food was ok-ish. We had the fish&chips and the oyster/shrimp plate. Unfortunately, the meats were soaked with oil, and you could feel that the oil was a bit old by the taste of the fries. Will definitely return to see if it’s actually better and we were just unlucky.

Party of 9 only one person had a meal that was not over cooked. Even children's chicken fingers and cheese burger was very over cooked. My shrimp po boy sandwich would have been better if the shrimp were not over cooked and didn't didn't still have a few tails left on them... Because I was starving and it took awhile I still ate it. They did take half off but man our bill for 2 adults and 2 kids was still $100. Probably the worst $100 I spent on food in quite some time. The staff was friendly but not the food lol.

Good food, the service was good considering the large number of customers dining but it is a very large dining room and very noisey. We enjoyed it but wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for an intimate dinner.

Came here on a busy Friday night but we chose to sit outside so no wait. Despite being busy the server was super sweet and gave us time with the menu. My husband and I both got the snapper (one grilled and one blackened) and the grilled octopus. Food was super delicious and fresh. Also the bread was so yummy. We will definitely be back next time we're in Florida!

Waitlist was ridiculous for a place like that, but the food was worth it after more than an hour after orders being placed.

My brother and I went to the lucky pelican tonight because I had been going on and on about how good the fried oyster plate was the last time I was there. It had been quite a few months since my last visit, but didn’t think anything would’ve changed. Boy was I wrong! Sadly it was a disappointing meal. Jennifer was our server and she did a good job, however the dinner was not worth the money. I couldn’t even drink the cocktail because it was sooo strong. It wasn’t enjoyable to drink and I ended up taking it home, to then throw it away because there was no fixing bad - I don’t think I’ve ever done that before … it was just that bad. Since I raved about the fried oysters from my last visit, we ordered the same thing. The last time I was there they were nice plump oysters and tasted fresh and delicious. Tonight’s were super tiny, and tasted kind of funky in my opinion - like out of a can or something. The coleslaw wasn’t good either, so I filled up on french fries. I get that sometimes oysters are small, but you’d think an accommodation would’ve been made since they were so small, maybe by throwing in a few extra ones but nope, I’m guessing 10 tiny oysters is all the plate got. If I would’ve known it would’ve been like that I would’ve order the raw blue points. Super disappointing for such an expensive fried platter. I didn’t say anything to our server about the food, although I did ask for a to go cup for the drink and mentioned it was very strong.

The lucky pelican is a place I come to whenever I am in Lakewood Ranch. The service is fantastic. Just take a look at this stuffed grouper!!!!! One of their specials but it's on the menu at least once a week. They have some great outdoor seating as well. if you're looking for some good fresh seafood in Lakewood Ranch, you should come here!

Food and services were very good. The turnoff was in the kitchen. The male staff all wore beards with no hair nets. They were also dressed in sweat pants and tee shirts. Most were wearing ear buds apparently listening to music while they worked. The food preparation area appeared dirty and the cooks slovenly. Even though the food was good, there is much room for hygienic improvement in the kitchen.
