Everything was great. I took 1 star off on the food, not because of taste but because IMO, if you have shrimp in the stir fry with sauces you should remove the tails before serving.

In Sarasota tonight and chose the over-25-year-old Madfish Grill on Cattlemen. We were very happy with our meal, Ben and Candice, and not just because we know New England seafood.
First, service by Dillon was flawless. Then, the warm bread with a unique chopped blend of garlic, basil, herbs, and shaved Parm (which I quickly also cross-purposed for my mash and spinach)!
I ordered the Scraggy Neck foil-broiled aioli haddock, perfectly glistening! Bill had the Mediterranean Sea bass (branzino)—a little dry, but I loved the shrimp-lobster stuffing and ate half of it for him!
They must have an executive saucier back there in the kitchen, because the toppings were all amazing!

Always a great choice for local and delicious. Creative offerings, fresh, seafood of course, but so much more! Parking lot always crowded, but they always seem to have seats... reservations accepted. Craft cocktails, I think, are a specialty. Madfish is a local favorite.

One of our favorite lunch spots. Nice patio dining area. And we love lunch at the small bar. Very cozy and inviting. Always great service. Good wine selections. The 1/2 sandwich / soup or salad combo is a great lunch at a very reasonable price. Would also recommend the Quiche - fruit combo, the burger special, and the tacos - particularly the mahi and grouper.
