I'm not sure what kind of experience should expect I mean it seems like kind of an upscale place and by that I mean it's more than Golden corral. The food all tasted Frozen that I ate. The wait staff I can't say anything bad about them they stay busy they did their jobs that just can't overcome the food. I did see people at the small bar having a good time laughing. So it must be something about the place people like. Food just sucked

Had the grouper chimichanga. It was delicious. Staff was lovely.
My husband and I frequently enjoy dining at the Madfish Grill! Mainly due to the quality of their service, and of course the food. Particularly want to give a shout out to Rita, Johnny and Jenna! They are always above and beyond our needs for a dinner out. Eric the Manager is always on hand to be of assistance. There is always good food, drinks and conversation. We have had most everything on the menu but love the Rueben, 4059 salad and my favorite beans and My husband loves the lobster bisque and the cobia burger. Consistency is something you can count on at the Madfish Grill after 20+years! They continually change up the menus to keep options interesting. Cheers to all the chefs and cocktail kings and queens!

By far my favorite place in Sarasota. Fresh local fish cooked perfectly with your choice of sauce (picata for me), strong and imaginative cocktails, family run and you feel youve been inducted! Truly one of a kind!
NOTE: DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE the strength of their cocktails. I’m no stranger to a stiff drink, but Caveat Emptor! Delicious… but dangerous.
Also: the specials are always stunning, take a chance. The Florida standards, like the dumpling appetizers*, are a decent version of the Florida standards. Not particularly special.
* pretty, but overly generous with the sweet sauce. In fact that’s true of most of the standards. I think it’s the taste down here.

The fresh fish menu was very limited. The food was good but not exceptional. The wine was over priced and not a good value.

Great Grits! their Sunday Brunch is so good! We had the Prime Benedicts and the chicken and waffles. Our Server Kevin was very attentive, professional and was knowlegeable of the menu. Also great ambiance, decor, indoor and outdoor seating.
We had the aged burger and the Reuben, they were a little bland, especially the burger lacked seasoning.

Terrible experience, slow service, unhygienic place, tables full of grease and the floor under the table with food remains, a place that closes sections because it simply does not have enough employees and they do not want to walk just a few more feet.
