Maestrale Restaurant and Pizzeria is a recommended dining destination for fantastic Italian food and wonderful service. The family-owned establishment has been serving Sarasota for over a decade with authentic Italian food served in a great atmosphere coupled with great service. Their unique "pinsa" pizza, with its crispy and soft crust, is a must-try appetizer. The orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausages was also good. Wait staff, like Alfredo, was friendly and attentive, extremely pleasant and helpful. Homemade pasta is delicious, even if sometimes a little overcooked. The broccoli rabe and sausage appetizer is a great choice, and for dessert, the cannoli and chocolate covered ice cream “bomb” are highly recommended. With a nice wine list, including Chianti, and reasonable prices, it's a local favorite where everyone enjoys their dinner and looks forward to returning.
