First time trying the restaurant even though we love Italian. I got the meatballs and the shrimp fra diavolo. My wife got a mushroom truffle pasta dish. She thought her dish was going to be really rich but said it wasn't super flavorful. My dish wasn't really spicy and the shrimp were somewhat mushy. So overall the food was just ok. Our service was great and very attentive. Atmospheric was ok and filled with an older crowd that was somewhat loud.
We were put in a corner and forgotten. Took almost two hours to eat and the food was very bland. We could not get our waiter attention all night. In their defense it was Saturday night and they were very busy. Just very disappointed after looking forward to our meal. We had been there prior and had a good experience.
Italian charm, cuisine, and its reputation for artistic expression have come to Sarasota. We were so glad to see this gem doing so well. Word of mouth has generated a growing faithful following for this treat to the senses. I can't believe it hasn't been featured in the Sarasota Herald Tribune.
Maetstrale is always reliable with service, quality of the meal and the welcoming spirit of the staff.
We always enjoy this family run restaurant. The food and service are always great. They are very accommodating.
Highly recommend this restaurant!

Maestrale had been on our list to try for some time and we are so glad we made the effort. Lovely Italian wine list to choose from and from start to finish this family owned restaurant delivered. Their charcuterie board for two was plenty for 4 - lots of different cured meats, cheeses, olives and even 2 skewered lightly fried shrimp. My fresh perfectly cooked fettuccine which was lightly cream sauced w rich earthy mushrooms and truffle oil. Flavorful, light and I felt like I was back in Italy again. My husband had veal formaggio w a side of pasta. Both sauces were exquisite. Shared possibly the best tiramisu I've ever had w/ 2 perfect cappuccinos. Overall just a lovely experience. Can't wait to return.
Absolutely amazing!!! Takes me back to Puglia. Everyone (taking about the staff) and everything is outstanding!

What an amazing family owned restaurant. Food was excellent. We loved the Fettuccine Bolognese & Eggplant Parm. The Melon & Prosciutto appetizer was so good. Tiramisu was delicious as well. The wine value was really good. Didn't realize no liquor but that's ok just had wine or Prosecco. The sons took care of us plus their mom came out and checked on us. Can't wait to go back as this was our first visit.

What a wonderful family-owned Italian restaurant. This would have been five star food but my pasta was cooked to just a little bit too mushy. Homemade pasta was delicious even if overcooked. I had a cannoli which was really nice. A great place to share a meal.

We had an wonderful dinner with my lifelong friend this week at Maestrale. The.entrees, wine and desserts were delicious, and we will return soon.
Mom was in the kitchen. Son was out server. Probably the best Linguinie a la vongole and tiramisu I’ve ever had. Super nice people and great food.

We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant when we visited Siesta Key recently. We enjoy Italian food and were looking for authentic fare. We were not disappointed. It was Sunday evening and the restaurant was not crowded, which was an added bonus. Alfredo was our server. He was attentive and friendly. We ordered a bottle of Chianti, the broccoli rabe and sausage appetizer, and shared the bolognese for our meal. Just perfection. Homemade pasta. Fresh ingredients. A delight. We had the chocolate covered ice cream “bomb” for dessert AND took a cannoli for later! I am still telling people about this meal a week later. If you’re looking for simple yet delectable Italian eating, this is the place. I hope we get back there so we can try other things on the menu. 10 out of 10, we do recommend.
