Great small French reataurant with baried menu including several great starters like octopus or fois gras with pears and candied nuts. For entrees we had muscles with tomato and sausage in butter sauce with toast. In addition, we enjoyed chicken paillalrd covered with shredded greens. For desert and amazing cherry cobbler in a crock a la mode. Five stars all around and our server Matt was great.

Such a lovely evening at Marcel's! Lovely ambiance, food and drinks delicious and great wine selection. The pate/foie gras was so creamy and fresh. I had sea bass, my husband had steak both cooked to perfection. They are still working out server kinks which we attributed to their growing pains, but the servers were friendly. Highly recommend!

Even though it was a busy Valentines day dinner, the pre fix was superb. From the amuse bouche to the dessert, our meal was splendid. I can't wait to go back. The Chef's preparations were right on the money.

Marcel provides an intimate date night out with minimal noise. The owner is friendly and always checks on you. Most of the menu we've tried has been good, not fantastic, and with the prices I would expect bigger portions.

Was in Sarasota with my hubby for another weekend...if you want quieter and a bit more romantic with excellent food and super cheery and lovely wait staff than this is your place. We are SUPER picky about food quality as we have a home in Europe and have eaten everywhere. We were delighted to find this gem. And please order the chocolate galette for dessert....best one I have had anywhere!
