Ciao! This restaurant has a good service. The staff were polite and helpful. Food was nice but missed nonna's flavors. Serving size was not on par for price (as a tourist). Pizza was okay but i did not enjoy the thinner texture with a smaller amount of cheese. After having, other, italian restaurants from California to Sicily, i am picky! Tables are nice, but conversation at adjacent tables are bothersome.

Good food - but horrible service on a Saturday night (in Season) - obviously could not handle the volume. Our table for 6 was going to "take a while" beyond our reservation time, so they put us at a street-side table that was fine with us. However our appetizers and salads came out a few at a time...4 of 6 entrees were served, and the other two 10 minutes later (or more)....had to flag down a waiter for water....in general - very poor service. Go any night except Saturday, and maybe it will be a better experience?

It was nice to be somewhere that had plenty of people working. Our waiter was very attentive. The hosts are bartender were also great. The food was really good and my gnocchi's are probably the best I have had in a long time.

Very busy on a Sunday night, though they managed to seat us within 15 minutes. Quick service. Delicious food. They started us not only with the usually bread and olive oil/tapenade, but also a little bruschetta which was delicious. Then we had the caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella which was very good. I had the bucatini which i really enjoyed. I initial thought the portions were small, but after finishing my meal, it turned out to be the perfect amount. Unfortunately i was too full for dessert. I recommend checking this place out.
The pasta dish was fantastic. Homemade square spaghetti and the service was excellent. However, we asked for our pizza well done and it was anything but. Great flavor profile but a soggy mess. Not a true Neapolitan pizza

This was our second visit here and the food was not near the quality of our first visit. The service was good, and seating was prompt. The salad was average at best and the pasta dish, which given that this is an Italian restaurant, was poor.

Alessandro and his team have one of the best restaurants in Sarasota. I've been coming here for years and Alessandro always treats us like family, his staff is great, very attentive and knowledgeable and we always have a great meal no matter what we order. The food is always fantastically prepared and very fresh. We love it here. Do yourself a favor and have a great meal at this great restaurant.
Must have been an off night. The bread for the bruschetta was burned. The sautéed calamari lacked flavor. The veggies with the Bronzino special were soaked in oil. The service was subpar. It took what felt like 10 minutes just to order and get our drinks and another 10 minutes to place the food order. Our waiter was not the friendliest. This is our second time at this restaurant. The experience we had the first time was very different from last night, which is why I wonder if it was an off night.

The food was superb and liked the ambiance. The server Daniel was awful. Didn't bring out our bread, stood against the wall and never looked at us when we wanted refills and needed our check. This is one of our favorite restaurants in town, but the service needs to improve.
