I would certainly recommend Michaels. We really enjoyed every aspect of our experience. The cocktails were delicious, the appetizers and dinner were excellent. Freddy was our server and he was attentive, kind and polite. He had a smile the whole time we were there. We will be back and I do hope we have the same experience, as this was our first time attending.
Our server was very polite, attentive and upbeat. She could use a little more knowledge of the various wine options, but that will come with time. MOE is a Sarasota staple. Always solid. The space itself is extremely outdated with odd paintings on the walls and this probably works well with the 70 and above crowd. One thing that bugs a lot of male patrons is the lack of a privacy barrier between the two urinals which makes you feel like you are going to the bathroom in Fenway Park. Need that.
Sat outdoors in the atrium area, wonderful ambiance. Perfect level of service, attentive but not annoying. Pompano Casbarian a must. Best Branzino ever, Greek style. Duck two ways was excellent. Hoisin Confit Duck & Veggie Spring rolls were an awesome start.
Celebrating a birthday with my Love. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to the moment we said goodbye. First class all the way.
Food and service were outstanding! Love Friday night lobster nights and Greek menu for this month was excellent.
I chose to have my birthday dinner at Michael's because of the great reviews. I absolutely loved the ambiance. The meal was hit and miss for the price. The waiter forgot to bring my drink with the meal. Even brought the wrong cake I ordered. My friend's lamb was bland but she chose to eat it. Definitely didn't leave a warm feeling around the service at the price. I probably won't return. The chef visited the table which was a nice touch.
Eddie recommended the pork chop, I was leaning towards the veal chop prior to arriving. I'm glad I went with the pork chop as it was the best cooked pork chop I've eaten. 2" thick chop , delicious. Would certainly return. I never leave reviews but felt I should as this was a very good dinner and Eddie was an excellent host / waiter. Thanks, Mark.
As usual, the Epicurean menu is a good value. It provides a 3-course dinner for $46.95. The meal always leaves us feeling satisfied. Most times I give the food a grade of “A.” This time a “B.” The fish main course we chose was just ok. It needed more flavor. The sauce provided some but not quite enough. I might have selected the main with duck but the server suggested that the duck leg would be quite small. I'll be back again in October for Octoberfest.
Incredible food and don't skip dessert! Everything is fresh and grown on the rooftop garden right there! The only annoying thing is you have to pay entrance to the botanic gardens which is the most exorbitantly expensive botanic garden entrance fee I've ever experienced anywhere in the world so be prepared to pay $28 and then have lunch, the botanic gardens are exquisite for sure and not to be missed however

I had the lobster rolls but had them put in on lettuce. My wife had the Toasted Goat Cheese Salad with roasted tofu.
Will definitely be back.

Not only was the food and atmosphere on point, Lara the bartender was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, able to recommend drink pairings with each appetizer and could recall each dish including their accoutrements! She was a pleasant rock star! Promote now! We WILL be back!

This was our first experience at Michael's on East and it will not be our last! The food was delicious, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch! A wonderful meal in a great atmosphere.
You're greeted nicely upon entering, and the staff is very well trained. Although pricey, the food is outstanding here and worth it. Cocktails were made to perfection as well. We prefer a quieter atmosphere, but the noise level is moderate. The bar scene is lively, but adjacent to the main dining area which contributes to the noise level. And it seems all bars now have wide screen televisions so customers must love them. The dress code (or lack of one) is Florida casual. There were some men in sport jackets and some in tee-shirts and shorts. Again, the staff and management were charming and very attentive.
I have been told Michaels on East is a fantastic restaurant which usually means I may not like it. Au contraire, it was wonderful. A big part was of course the food. The chilean sea bass was superb, the shrimp Mozambique, wonderful. But our server Kelly and those who worked our table with her were fabulous. Thank you for a great evening.
Eddie was awesome !
