First time we went it was really good but just went again and we will never return. I got so sick that the next day it was coming out both ends. Not good at all!! A few others from our group had stomach issues as well.
This was my second time here. First as a family and this time with group of friends. Our meals were lovely. We had soup and salad which were all very good. The bleu cheese dressing tasted homemade. We had a variety of entrees including seafood vent, filet, triple tail (the special), and duck. Everyone loved their entrees. Initially, the pastry on the seafood dish was burnt on the bottom but they made it right and promptly brought out a new one which was perfectly cooked. It was a fabulous experience and our waitress, Sophie, was top notch. She handled our group of 7 women very well and offered the best service. We left very satisfied and will definitely return!
absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is cozy and elegant — you really feel like you’re in France. The food was delicious, every dish was full of flavor. The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional. Everything was just perfect. I’ll definitely come back!

Wanted a good meal out after eating at other local spots & leaving dissatisfied. Walked by Miguel's, read the reviews & enjoyed the best meal of my trip. As a solo diner they were happy to seat me at a table for 2 but I chose the bar instead and enjoyed the same level of fabulous service as tables near by.
My main course of Duck could not have been better. Very meaty, crisp skin, moist meat, flavorful sauce, and accompanying garnishes were all delicious, right down to the bread basket with a little pate & salad.
Dan, 1 of the owners & bartender, couldn't have been more gracious or supplied better dinner conversation.
Highly recommend!!!

Hidden gem here in Sarasota. I almost did not come here thinking this was a Spanish/ Mexican restaurant (we have good Mexican restaurants back home). Thankfully, decided to look at the menu, which is extensive. There will be something everyone will like. Made a reservation for a Friday night, just in case. Surprisingly, uncrowded. Prices were not bad. Waiter, Sean, was quite knowledgeable and super friendly. For appetizers, we had the mussels, shrimp and escargot. These were all tasty and I liked the escargot flavor the best. The shrimp and mussels had a sweet sauce to it. The mussels had a mild to moderate fishy taste to it. Definitely not the best mussels I had. Still we finished it up. The house salad had an unusually good variety of veggies- tomato, red cabbage, green peppers, lettuce. The raspberry vinaigrette, as suggested by Sean, was excellent. For entree, I ordered the duck with orange sauce. This was really really good! My wife's tilapia was just so so. Kind of bland. Mixed grill was excellent. Filet mignon was very good. To end with we had had bananas Foster made tableside but Sean. This was a great show. Worth the price. And was yummy! Creme, brulee and mango sorbet was also quite good. Would easily come back again as we only had 1/20th of the menu. The other stuff looked just as good. It's in the corner of an upside down L-shaped strip mall. Pretty full parking. I got the last spot that I could see and this was about 6:35 p.m. I think there may be a parking lot next door, but I'm not sure if that was a private lot for something else.

A wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The wines were most inexpensive due to their liquor license. Thank you Nathan and company for a unique and most enjoyable dinner.

One of our favorite restaurants in Florida if you’re looking for great food. The table side spinach salad is an awesome starter before your meal.

Dining at Miguel’s French Restaurant in Sarasota is always a true delight. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a charming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The menu is a perfect balance of authentic French classics and creative dishes, all prepared with incredible attention to detail.
The flavors are consistently outstanding — from the fresh seafood and I mean frog legs lol to the perfectly crafted sauces and desserts that taste straight out of Paris. The staff Shawn our aever is and was knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want an unforgettable meal, Miguel’s never disappoints. Easily one of Sarasota’s gems! IF this review helped you at all please like as it helps me. Thanks 👍

Highly disappointing. Escargot was horrible. Nothing fresh about it. Even it's presentation was unappealing. Veal - tasteless. Steak Diane was over cooked & chewy, Too many other places to enjoy a meal than waste time and money here.

Our second time visiting and will always make it a priority to visit when we can.
We enjoy the atmosphere of Miguel’s, as if you’re not at a beachside restaurant. Our server was very attentive and personable. We can’t stop raving about our dinner! I had the Les Fruit de mar for my entree, the flavors were so good! Hubby thoroughly loved the Mixed Grill with lamb, filet mignon, and veal. It was a great meal for the money. We highly recommend!!
