Food was good. Pasta dishes were heavy but veal dishes were excellent.
They do not accept American Express and there is a service charge on all credit card purchases.

Very disappointing dining experience. First, for an Italian restaurant, all the white wine by the glass were from California. Secondly, the restaurant was open for an hour - and they were already out of the mushroom ravioli .... on a Saturday night? Third - who serves penne in marinara sauce with veal picata? And finally, they charge a 2.95% fee if you pay by credit card !!! NOWHERE on their website is this disclosed, only when the server gives you your check. A mediocre meal at a restaurant that caters to the residents of The Meadows. We will not be back.

Not a big fan. Food was very mid. Wanted it to be good, but like most of Sarasota’s restaurants; it disappointed. There is something in the water in Sarasota, people accept mediocre places at City prices. Just go to Olive Garden, and spend half the amount.

I forgot how good the food is at Mona Lisa. Very quaint, small restaurant With great food and service. If you need to wait, it’s worth it!

Tucked in the meadows, a cute place!! We wanted to love it. But didn't! Limited layers of flavors! The Scampi vino Bianco, was a pasta swimming in a broth like sauce that I had to add salt, pepper and crushed red pepper to even taste like anything It should have been over linguini, but it was more like a heavy fettuccine! The Tiramisu was good!
But not great!

Walked in an hour before closing.sny tables available. We were told without a reservation we could not be seated. Website says not guaranteed a table w/o reservation. There was no reason we couldn't be seated. Will NEVER return

Go support this small family restaurant! It's in the Meadows but it's open to the public. My family is Italian and I can say the food here is great. They know HOW to cook the dishes correctly when so many restaurants don't. It comes out piping hot and they make pasta by hand. The prices are fair. Don't miss this little gem. #supportlocal

Great little spot. I've visited Sarasota several times over the past 10 years and this is a spot we always go to with my parents. Great spot, intimate, amazing owners and the food is legit, and prices are great. Don't sleep on this one.
