Best oysters I have ever had and I have been a oyster connoisseur for at least 35 years from when I lived in maryland. The oysters are humongous and that is so rare to find these days. Very friendly work team and you can see that they are very happy to be there and they are proud of what they offer to the customers. I went there for the first time last month and look forward to going back again. The high quality oysters have spoiled me where I will not go anywhere else now for oysters. Once you have monks oysters, you won't go back to any place else.

Monk’s for the win again. I mean you really can’t go wrong with an afternoon drink and snack or just a drop in. Good food, cold drinks and good atmosphere
The crab legs were freezer burnt and did not have much meat. Our server was good. The owner was nasty to customers and employees in front of everyone. Do yourself a favor and don't go, unless for the restroom, which you will need.

I love Monk’s food, mainly because of the oysters. The Oysters Monkafeller are delicious! The service is spotty though - sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s horrible. The atmosphere is alright…it’s just a lil’ hang out, nothing fancy. Because of the food, I always go back. I gotta say though, I haven’t been back in a while, because last time the service was so bad.
