I love Monk’s food, mainly because of the oysters. The Oysters Monkafeller are delicious! The service is spotty though - sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s horrible. The atmosphere is alright…it’s just a lil’ hang out, nothing fancy. Because of the food, I always go back. I gotta say though, I haven’t been back in a while, because last time the service was so bad.
Can't say enough about this place. Shellfish quality was stellar. 16/20 shrimp, jumbo mussels, awesome clams and sweet Cajun crayfish. Comfortable bar setting and great attentive staff. Another great spot for great food in the cool Gulf Gate community. Highly recommended
IYKYK. This place might not look like much but it’s the best place in town to get raw oysters. Bartenders are always a vibe and everything is fresh. Perfect place to go after a day at the beach.
