Namo Izakaya Ramen & Yakitori

Went for lunch with my husband on a Sunday. Very pleased we gave Namo a try. It’s got a wonderful low lit chic meets traditional Japanese Izakaya vibe. Many tables in the dining room. Quirky & fun decor: from Japanese greet signs, to waving lucky cat art & figurines, to Japanese beer crates artfully turned into padded chairs. The interior is very clean in the dining room AND the bathrooms… which gave me confidence on the spotless status that I’m sure they also have in the kitchen.

We got the Namo Fried Chicken (wings) app. They were AM-MAAAAY-ZING. Think crunchy like Korean Fried Chicken… but better. The sauce they are tossed in is mildly sweet & salty. A very subtle savory addition to the already wonderful bone in wings. For the entrees, we got the Spicy Miso Ramen and then Tonkotsu Ramen. Both were out of this world. Just as good as the ramen in enjoyed in Japan. I would definitely come back next time I’m in Sarasota and would highly recommend others to try them

They have the BEST ramen in Sarasota, hands down. Their sushi is also super good. The people who work there are super nice. I go at least once a month. So worth it and yummy

After trying Namo’s 2 weeks ago I went back again last night to taste another delight. I had the udon noodles w beef the first visit and the creamy chicken curry last night w an appetizer skewer of grilled pork belly. AMAZING, flavorful food served by a wonderful server. The eating area is small, comfortable and quiet.

Our waiter Ivy was very kind and the food was delicious! I am sure we will be coming again.

Wonderful ramen the noodles had a very unique and delicious flavor. We had the tempura lobster and it was crispy and well cooked

Tonkotsu ramen broth is rich and flavorful, they do not cut corners here. The egg is marinated and soft boiled to perfection, the pork belly is tender and has plenty of flavor. But!!! I tried the fried chicken wings on their appetizer menu as well, and OMG!!!! Hands down, best wings I’ve ever had. So crispy. How do they do it?

Food is delicious! We will be back. Keep up good quality.

The Creamy Curry is a constant craving in our house. This dish has been my Birthday and Mothers Day request 2 years in a row! 🥰🍜

This is a relatively new restaurant and just in time. Ramen is hot now in the food business. Service was quick, friendly and helpful. It was delicious and served quickly. There is a good selection of ramen plus sushi. It was hard to pick.

Unique, Thoughtful, & Creative

The attention to detail and the kind/caring servers make this restaurant a step above the rest. The owner takes pride their dishes and treats all customers like close friends or family. This place feels like a second home, I don't only come here for the great food, which will melt your heart, but also for the comfortable atmosphere. The food portions are accurate to the cuisine type and while they look small they are very filling, so don't be fooled! Prices are excellent, even a bit underrated for the quality that's served. The chicken wings are my favorite but don't skip out on the rest either, the hand rolls are so fresh and delicious as well!

Kid-friendliness: Kids are so welcome there! I saw one come in with their family to have ramen for their birthday dinner and the owner even gave them a little Japanese treat as a dessert. A very friendly and safe atmosphere!

Easily my favorite Ramen restaurant I've visited. The flavors, textures, and aromas were exquisitely combined to make phenomenal dishes. The fried nori was exemplary.

The Yakitori had a wonderful charred taste in the way only food toasted over crackling wood fire can taste. There is no true imitation for this savory palette delight.

The presentation and service was wonderfully prompt, polite, and timely.

If anything on the menu looks as good as it sounds, it almost certainly is. And you should go get it as soon as you can.

This is a great little restaurant in every way. Food and drinks, service, atmosphere.. all exceptional. The prices are more than reasonable given the high quality of food and excellent dining experience.
