We went here for our anniversary. This was our 3rd time here for dinner and all 3 have been excellent. Beautiful views, romantic setting and amazing food and service.
The food was excellent. We shared the beet salad. The fresh sour dough bread was divine. I had the yellow snapper and my friend had the halibut. We had a beautiful view of the water but it was very hot inside. It be nice if they'd kept it cooler inside. We chose inside because it was hot outside. Our waiter Zoltan was pushy and frankly made it a bad experience. We wanted to catch up a bit and told him so but he came back three times to try to get our order. He was not a very attentive listener. We asked to split the wonderful beet salad and he forgot to have chef do that for us.he did it at the table and made a mess. Not wat I expected of a place that charged so much. No wonder it wasn't full on a Saturday night.
Annette was wonderful with her service made us enjoy our time and our friends first experience there. My mother was over the moon with the yellow snapper meal outstanding!
Ophelia on the Bay is always a solid choice and never disappoints. The food is outstanding, the service is great, and the prices are on the high side, but it's worth the experience.
First time trying this place and it did not disappoint. I'm allergic to shellfish so I had the filet and it was excellent. The accompanying sides were delicious as well. My wife had the crab cakes appetizer and scallops and said both were outstanding. The place is dated and felt like a little Maine diner but the food was top notch. Not cheap but worth every penny. Wait staff was good but not outstanding.
Ambiance and service were excellent. It was our most expensive restaurant this week in Sarasota/Siesta key for equivalent food and type of restaurant such as Selva Grill, Kojo etc,
We went to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Seated at a table right under a fan that was going full speed, and we asked if the fan could be turned down; unfortunately - our waiter said the pull was broken so they couldn't turn it down. Moved us to a table in another room - which was too warm (but we stayed there). Our waiter started out great - and then he sort of lost track of us. We ordered a second glass of wine and waited at lest 15 minutes for it. The food, however, was all spectacular! The bread service is very nice. We split a beet salad to start - perfect presentation and flavor. For entrees - we got the Lobster Risotto and the Halibut. Both were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.
Fantastic as always, Brice our waiter was wonderful and very knowledgeable explained items on menu perfectly. Bill our Somalia did perfect wine choice for us right down to desserts. One of our favorite places and perfect every time. Thank you
All the food we ate was delicious, fresh, and thoughtful. Perfect portions that satisfy you without over filling. The red fish entree and pistachio gelato dessert were especially fine. Our waiter Chris was very nice and friendly. The setting is clean and fresh.
Our return trip to Ophelia's was just as expected... wonderful. We shared the experience with an awesome couple who were also celebrating their anniversary. They were new to the Ophelia's experience. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, the ambiance, and the service... ask for Chris when you go. BonAppatite.

Les, the maitre d' and Michael, our server , worked together to make our wedding anniversary celebration extra special. Both the service and the food were amazing. We highly recommend the Tataki tuna entree and the key lime pie for dessert.
Had filet’s, really good, cooked to perfection!
The setting and seating were marvelous. The valets and waiter superb. The specialty pear martini was wonderful. However, the food was flavorless, especially the eggplant crepe appetizer and bed of rice for the enntree. It lacked finesse with herbs and other seasoning. I had no idea the crepe was fried like an eggroll. The sauteed scallop entree was satifactorily prepared. Delicious. The cabbage was bitter and dominated the scallops. It did not seem like a campatible dish for scallops. The rice with crab lumps (more like shredded) again flavorless. I would rate the restaurant a 3+.
Very delicious food and amazing staff. Great for if you are looking for an upscale option on the key.
Nothing was we were expecting, service was poor, our waitress was nice but the rest was not, especially the food.
