Origin Craft Beer & Pizza Cafe

I was a previous employee I went there to order a pizza and wings and Rachel the bartender was not professional at all I went in back to take to Reese the man who i trained and she came back to kick me out ... Wow nice employee..... 1st of all she did not ask me nicely she was calling me names that I'm not going to say on her and I was just in to say hi to Reese she didn't need to make a big deal of it.

Came in to order pizza, was super hungry and looking forward to it, and my boyfriend Peter who opened the place with the owner and used to work with Reese, just wanted to say hi to him and the bartender Rachel, cancled our order and kicked us out. I could tell that she didn't like him from the get go.

Gave this place a shot super-late one night when nothing else was open and couldn’t have been happier. The pizza was great and they keep serving food in the hours when everyone else has closed or shut down their kitchen for the night. Now that I know about it, I’d go back even when everyone else in the area is still open/serving.

Update: Ordered from them a few times since I wrote my original review (?) five years ago and my last experience was really rough. The pizza was just so poorly made and not at all up to the standards I’d come to expect from them. Hopefully it was just a fluke but it was so disappointing that I haven’t been back since. I’m only dropping my review to 4stars because of all the good experiences I had before but… that last one was pretty bad.

Ordered a broccoli pizza for pick up. I would have never imagined, but it was really good! If you are looking for a veggie pizza, I recommend trying it from here. Excited to try other pizzas in the future.

Lived in Jersey majority of my life, so I’m very aware of what good pizza tastes like. This was not it. If you’re going to charge $28 for a large half pepperoni and mushroom half veggie, I would expect it to be 10/10. This was definitely not. The crust was terrible, topics were poor, the sauce was decent.

The food was awesome and the hours are great! Not a lot is open for food this late in Sarasota so this was a great find. We had a long and unexpected day at the hospital while on a girls trip and pizza and craft beer was exactly what we needed. Mariah, our server, was fantastic. She was so friendly and took care of us very well despite a full restaurant. The place is small enough and staffed well so you get great service with a fun vibe. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We love this place, everytime we go to Sarasota we must stop to origin restaurant, a very good pizza but what make it special is their friendly staff, always they welcome you with a big smile.
