We just finished our first visit to Osteria 500, and we truly wanted to adore this restaurant and rate it 5 stars. Unfortunately, the service we received was quite disappointing. Let me begin with the positives: the atmosphere is stunning. The food was delicious, flavorful, and served hot. However, the waiter, whose name I won't mention, was not very attentive. We had to request bread, and we weren't offered drink refills; we had to ask for those as well. We found ourselves waiting on him several times for various items including sliverware . He had a considerable number of tables both indoors and outdoors, which I believe contributed to his struggles. We also noticed that the kitchen was preparing sandwiches and paninis. When we inquired about this, one waiter said he wasn't sure why they were being served. We asked another staff member and were informed that we hadn't been given that menu. The bread was fantastic, and I would have loved to try a sandwich. We spent $150 on lunch, and considering the level of service, I would think twice before coming back. As a local in Lakewood Ranch, this experience was disappointing.

Great spot. The pasta was wonderful. I'm gluten sensitive and was able to eat the bread and pasta with no symptoms. House chardonnay was very good. Grandkids loved the spaghetti.

Miguel and Frank are the BEST bartenders we have ever had!!! My husband and I eat at a lot of places and I must say, they have made Osteria our favorite in Sarasota. Go see them! The best atmosphere and food!

The food, service, and atmosphere are always exceptional—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients. We especially enjoy the imported wines, which perfectly complement every meal.
The warm hospitality makes us feel like part of the family. We appreciate being able to enjoy a relaxing family night out on the patio with our two small Klee Kai dogs.
