We were so excited to find this lovely spot. The ambience is retro and fun without taking itself too seriously. But they do take their food seriously. The menu has plenty for everyone and the combinations of flavors are ingenious and delicious. I tried an egg creme for the first time -- with their home made syrup. I was worried that it would be too sweet but it was perfectly balanced. Our food was also delicious. The potato latkes with lox and caviar was amazing.

It was on a Sunday, closer to lunch time. We had lovely choices and loved everything we tried. Seating was almost gone, but wait wasn't too long.
For a slice of the Big Apple in downtown Sarasota, you can't go wrong with Palm Avenue Deli. We were greeted warmly, seated right away and were practically doted on by the wait staff. The atmosphere was very bright and clean. And the food. Wow. This place is an instant favorite. I had the Reuben sandwich with fries, a side of crispy brussel sprouts, and my wife had the creamy bow tie mac and cheese with fries. Also, DONT FORGET THE PICKLE!!! Even the cappuccino was spot on. Can't wait to go back and work our way through the menu.

Coming from the NY state area, this deli does justice to what the Jewish deli scene is up north. The staff was amazing and extremely friendly. We sat at the front bar had great conversation with one of the chefs, and the manager, and barista. The food was great, fairly priced. Will be returning!

Found this special gem walking around downtown, absolutely phenomenal. The manager, staff, chefs everyone are all so kind and ensured we had a great experience. I have found my new favorite dish Crispy Beef Kreplach. My boyfriend had the pastrami and being from up north said this is the best he’s had in FL. I had the Nova Salmon Sandwich and it was so fresh and perfect. The cold brew is also 10/10 Can’t recommend this place enough great job guys!

We had been looking forward to eating here for a while. The food and service was good. The portions were extremely modest. An $18 bagel w lox should come with more than 3 very slim slices of lox and only enough cream cheese to lightly coat one side of a bagel. Extra cream cheese at $2 is ridiculous. Not a very good value.

My beloved family, wife and children, we are locals and counting our blessings because we live here in our alluring jewel, beautiful Sarasota. I understand that one of my grandmothers was G-D’s chef but nonetheless … it was first and last time my family and I ate at this downtown Palm Deli. Jewish Kopf? Azohen Vey! The three stars for atmosphere accompany the photo’s with celebrities making the tapestry of this business, and reminding us of a time when food actually was cooked and prepared with the heart and soul. It is like the music of today. All for fashion and show but never executed neither with heart nor the soul. Two stars for service supporting the young girls making a penny, and the one star for “quality” of food, is pure flattery. I suggest hiring an old Jewish grandmother and start all over again, this current tasteless affair. Our bill barely fitted into the “Golden Donut”. Award winning international classical concert cellist, recording artist and music pedagogue, Steve Kramer.
We ate breakfast here twice while staying at a hotel a few blocks away. Great, fresh food and excellent service. Very clean and well run diner. We loved it!

Wonderful location, design & menu. I had the Famous Deli Cobb salad which was very good. My buddy's eggs were cold & the sausage patties he ordered came out as links. The waitress was very sweet...however could not be found when time to get the check...even though they were not busy.

I've lived here my whole life and have had a lot of good burgers but the palm ave deli brings in the heat! Hands down best burger in town the smoked Gouda and pastrami on top deliver every single time. Bravo!

First time in Sarasota and my wife and I had our first visit at Palm Ave Deli. We were greatly impressed. The staff was pleasant and cheerful, the hospitality wonderful. The corned beef sandwhiches were absolutely perfect. So flavorful and fork tender and juicy. We are going to spreas the word and cannot wait to come back again
