We were so excited to find this lovely spot. The ambience is retro and fun without taking itself too seriously. But they do take their food seriously. The menu has plenty for everyone and the combinations of flavors are ingenious and delicious. I tried an egg creme for the first time -- with their home made syrup. I was worried that it would be too sweet but it was perfectly balanced. Our food was also delicious. The potato latkes with lox and caviar was amazing.

For a slice of the Big Apple in downtown Sarasota, you can't go wrong with Palm Avenue Deli. We were greeted warmly, seated right away and were practically doted on by the wait staff. The atmosphere was very bright and clean. And the food. Wow. This place is an instant favorite. I had the Reuben sandwich with fries, a side of crispy brussel sprouts, and my wife had the creamy bow tie mac and cheese with fries. Also, DONT FORGET THE PICKLE!!! Even the cappuccino was spot on....

Coming from the NY state area, this deli does justice to what the Jewish deli scene is up north. The staff was amazing and extremely friendly. We sat at the front bar had great conversation with one of the chefs, and the manager, and barista. The food was great, fairly priced. Will be returning!
