The Sarasota location just off east street has people who are not very friendly. Ordered a bowl of tomato soup and got not even a half bowl. Usually they are pretty good but will not use this location again.

Everything in the cafe side was great. The ladies bathroom certainly need a lot of help.
Definitely had orders messed up here far too frequently. Last time I had to prove I paid for a cream cheese with my bagel… like what sicko eats a bagel without a spread? Then was given a small cup with about a tablespoon of spread in it !! Not even enough to cover half the bagel! All that fighting and money for that tiny smear? I’ve also been having issues with the order ahead through the app.. order and then get an email that the meal is ready… go over and wait another ten minutes for the food? When you only have 25 minutes for lunch that doesn’t work well!! Haven’t been back in a few weeks! I just don’t appreciate how I was treated over cream cheese!

Both cashiers this morning were rude and unpleasant. I have been coming to this Panera for maybe 15 years and it’s just gone downhill. The main cashier never smiles and never says thank you or you’re welcome when I say it. The second cashier this morning seemed to be a manager and she was also unpleasant. I miss the old days when it felt like Panera bread was a good atmosphere. Manual the cook is a star and the only one holding this place together.

God bless the staff at this Panera! We come here with my grandmother every time we come to visit Sarasota. And the staff is incredibly kind and patient with everyone. Even when the customers are accidentally spilling loads of coffee on the floor. lol

Set in the confines of the Mall area , it has a lot of foodie competition. We have panera's before, so had soup on our minds as the bread bowl of cheddar broccoli is always to be recommended. That being said , everything we have tried before involving bakery items has been good too. This occasion was no different with the experience being pleasant.
