Panera at Sarasota Pavilion discriminated against a disabled person with a service dog this evening. It is clear that it was partly the result of very poor training on what federal law allows them to ask and on the rights disabled persons have. The manager and her staff engaged in numerous violations of the ADA, first refusing to seat us because we had my service dog with us, and going on to asking for certificates & information that she is not entitled to by law. The manager's refusal to listen to any explanation of the ADA & my right as a disabled person to be accompanied by my service dog. She was very rude, unwilling to listen while I was attempting to explain and assert my legal rights, and capped all of this by threatening not to serve me at all. That was it. At that point we chose to take our business elsewhere. We have eaten at that Panera several times with my service dog without any hassles - this is new & very unwelcome, and I can only assume that whoever is training the people working there now hasn't got the first clue what the legal rights, restrictions and responsibilities are incumbent upon a business which serves the public. i LOVE. panera food but this location in particular sucks so bad i would never recommend it. everytime i’ve been here i’ve had an issue with my order, either i’m missing something or something is wrong or the food is just horribly made. the sandwiches are always lacking. if u ask for extra sauce they will give u teeny tiny container and fill it half way…. not even. I haven’t eaten at this location in a while because everytime THEY MESS UP MY ORDER. i got it today thinking i would give them a second chance. nope they forgot one of my sandwiches of course!! this location sucks.

Loved Panera but will longer be eating here. So far my last several attempts have been awful. This last time I went with my wife for simple bagle order with cream cheese. We ordered from the moble ordering station. After approximately 25 minutes I got a text informing me that my order was ready. When I went up to the counter to pick it up I was informed that my order was not infact ready and that I would have to wait my turn. I continued to wait only to see people who came in after me get their odres. When half my order was finally prepared I was informed that I would have to pick another bagle because they just gave the last one to another customer. Mind you a customer that I just watched walk in and oder the bagle get their order and walk out. I guess the act of getting toasted adds a 44 minute wait and puts you to the back of the list.

I had a cherry pastry and a small drink. It cost $7.58. The pastry was not very big but what it lacked in size it made up for by being rather stale.
The small drink (ok, so they only have “regular” and large) was $3.19+ tax. Way overpriced.
I used to love this Panera location and came here frequently but this was not a good experience.
This doesn’t even mention the locked bathroom that I had to get a code to use. Meh

I don't know what the heck is wrong with the management of this establishment. Only one working cashier doing the best they can do. Management yelling at the cashiers to "multi-task". I don't know what the problem is. The foreign manager is always on his phone yelling at the cashiers to clean and collect plates when cashiers should be cashiers. It is awful how he treats them. What happened to the person who used to clean the dining room? Hire More People or Close Down, not returning.

My whole family has been customers at Panera for years And we used to recommend the broccoli cheddar soup saying that it was the best ever. Well drastic decline in the soup since at least the last year......and today it was the worst.... actually watery sloppy with barely any taste of the cheddar . We noticed the decline even in the frontega sandwich where the chicken portion is so small whereas we used to love it before. So prices are up but quality has deteriorated. Never going there again
