Exquisite iced coffee!! Expert, warm and helpful service! I stopped in for my first coffee of the day after a fasted medical test. The server told me that the dark iced coffee was single origin with berry notes. He didnt tell me it would be the best iced coffee I have ever had and I was delighted! Fast, beyond delicious! Outdoor and indoor seating. Oudoors along the beautiful streets near the hospital - great people watching and lovely shades for the tables.

Their coffee is brewed to perfection, and is the most unique flavor I've ever experienced. It feels fine in my tummy and never tastes or feels overdone. Lots of yummy treats and lunch items. Perq is undeniably the best coffee shop in Florida, and at least in my experience, one of the best coffee shops in the US. I’ve been to countless cafes in NYC, as well as many other cities, and still Perq wins out for the quality of their coffee. The Slayer espresso machine they have is a powerhouse of quality brews, and the care they put into sourcing their coffee, making their drinks, and crafting a comfortable and welcoming environment makes Perq one of my favorite places to visit while in Sarasota. While the intense obsession over coffee as a culture has seemingly shifted towards cold brew and easy to make alternatives to quality espresso like Keurig and the god-awful nespresso machines, Perq continues to offer coffee that actually lives up to the tasting notes listed on the box. The food is also really quite good, and they offer a variety of other options for food as well. If you’re in town, come to Perq, it’s an absolute Gem, and one of the best things Sarasota has produced.

We only go there for coffee. I have toured all the coffee shops in town and Perks rates at the top. The owner knows his stuff and it reflects in the quality of his drinks. We have become addicted. The lines can be a bit long in season.
The coffee offerings are great. Any place that has a line literally out the door is doing something right.

Also, please remove the extra charge for non-dairy milks :). These options have a significantly lower carbon footprint than dairy, and continuing to upcharge customers for making an environmentally conscious choice feels outdated. Starbucks recently eliminated their alternative milk surcharge for this very reason—your shop could take a meaningful step in the same direction and enhance community impact as well as customer satisfaction.
