I recently made this review “Lacking greatly in good customer service. Arrogant owners who do not support the other business’s that surround them. Saddened by my experience there. Will go to Morton’s instead for smiles and great customer service and good coffee.”
A couple of days later the owner replied about a parking lot incident in which I know nothing about, and a comment about someone else’s coffee drink. My review was made strictly about the terrible customer service. I know nothing of his parking lot and/or issues but it is abundantly clear he has made a fool of himself in his response. This owner is indeed arrogant and knows nothing about humility and customer service and he does not support the neighboring business’s. And his reply confirms this. I went to his place of business with my mom to enjoy a good coffee drink with her. Nothing more and nothing less.

Sheesh, delightful! Lovely coffee beans from lands afar and a piece of chocolate for my friend, both excellent… so pleased to meet this little coffee shop and owner. What a find!

We postponed leaving on our multi state road trip back home so we could get one last cup to go! This coffee house is easily my favorite shop we have found. The atmosphere is perfect and the coffee is to die for. It’s what every coffee shop should strive for. Some people might not like that there’s only one barista but it is a major strength. The consistency and craft is off the charts good and I would wait in whatever line I had to to get some of this on the way to work if I could. Don’t forget a hash brown Sammy! Yuuuum

Great breakfast too. My wife is a nurse so she comes here often so we’ve been long time customers. I always look forward to Perq!

I am a local and this is hands-down the best place for coffee in Sarasota. The espresso is noticeably high quality, and the food options are more extensive than any other coffee place I’ve been to. I walked up on a Saturday at a little past noon (I forgot to check the hours), and Keith offered to make me a latte regardless of it being past closing time. This is just one example showcasing their excellent service and willingness to go above and beyond. The ambience and location are great as well. Perq is truly a staple of the community and I will be recommending to friends and family.

A really cool place to hang out, but the coffee is just disgusting and incredibly over priced: $10 for an espresso that hit the trash after the first sip, and a "latte" that we didn't finish. It's not just about how cool you are, if the coffee tastes like coal, you are going to close soon.
