Pietro’s Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar

My husband and I came here for date night, unknowingly on the last night of service before they close for a month's (reopen in October) we were shocked by the small cozy , family, warm environment. We order the octopus as an app and veal parmigiana both were mouth watering tender and flavors exploded ♥︎ we cannot wait to come back. Suzanne our host was so attentive, our server was knowledgeable and so kind. Compliments to the chef Peter! We cannot wait to revisit asap!!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant and it was amazing. The staff was awesome and very attentive. It was our 46th anniversary and they couldn't have made it more enjoyable. We walked into a table filled with rose pedals. We were checked on regularly for satisfaction by the staff and the owner. Food was excellent. This will be an experience we will never forget. So sad to hear that they close for 3 months for vacation but we will be back in October when they reopen.

Absolutely wonderful food and wines in a warm, "family" atmosphere with great wine-themed decor and attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff. What's not to love??

This is a cozy place with excellent home-cooked Italian food and a delightful staff. The Sicilian soup special , lasagna and eggplant parmigiana made us feel at home in our Nonna’s kitchen.

I have lived in Sarasota for 30+ years & eat out often. In the past I also stayed in Italy for months at a time. I can tell you Pietro's is absolutely the very best Italian restaurant in Sarasota. The food is exceptional, high quality, authentic Italian cuisine. Pietro is the BEST Italian chef around, better than all the other "top" Italian restaurant chef, many of whom I know well. Hey, Pietro is from Ischia. He's Italian!

The food was exceptionally prepared, well seasoned and perfectly cooked with culinary flair. Our server was attentive and personable, and the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. I would highly recommend for a romantic date night.

Dining at Pietro's is like being with an old friend. We have been enjoying the family's restaurants since Gabbiano on Siesta Key 20 years ago. It is amazing how they remember all of their customers and greet them by name. The food is creative and outstanding and serves as standard for all other Italian restaurants in town!
