The restaurant had a beautiful atmosphere. We were seated in the wine room which I loved. Our waiter, Alex was wonderful...friendly and super helpful with menu options and wine suggestions! Our dinner was absolutely delicious! The Branzino melted in my mouth! And the seafood pasta dish with mussels and shrimp was amazing as well! This is definitely a place we'll be coming back to!! If you're looking for great Italian food this is the place!!

First time visit to Pietro's and came away very impressed. We ordered the Mama Lucia chicken and Mama Lucia veal. Both were nicely plated, generous in portion, and excellent in taste. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The ambiance was also very cool. You feel you're dining in a large wine cellar. It was an outstanding dinner. Will definitely be back.
The reservation was originally for 4 but changed the evening before to 6 with no issues- we were an early reservation air 5:30. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. Bread was served when we received our drinks which was right away- and its excellent crusty baguettes with toothy bread! The 6 of us ordered salads and mains with two couples splitting salads. There were half of us with Cesar and half with the arugula salads and they were excellent. The mains were the Papardelle, Black Grouper special, two of the house signature chicken dishes with mushrooms and 2 other chicken dishes I can't remember. The chickens were a grand and very flavorful. Everyone loved their mains and the wines we had by the glass. If there is one shortfall it would be the limited wines by the glass. It would be nice to have a couple more selections like a Roso di Montalcino and maybe a nice brisk white from Trentino. We were very impressed with the food, incredibly impressed with the service and vibrant personalities of the wait staff. We will definitely go back.

First time dining at Pietro's. Nice ambiance and good service. Food was quite good and generous portions. Reasonable noise until a party of 14 arrived next to us. Good wine selection, although a little pricey. Overall, would definitely do back.

What an absolutely delightful dining experience we had. First of all, the minute you arrive you are welcomed by a plethora of folks who are sincerely glad you're there. We had a group of six and lucked out by being seated in the wine room. Such a fun vibe. But truthfully, there is not a bad seat in the house; everywhere is charming. Next, the service was impeccable. Johanna took excellent care of us. From water service to selecting our wines to our foods coming out, everything was spot on. Peter (Pietro) came to greet us and is adorable! We met his lovely wife too. A real power couple! The food was UNREAL, as in the best meal I have had in Sarasota! Do yourself a favor and go! We can't wait to go back.

Dining here is like belonging to a private club. Peter visits every table to ensure your satisfaction. Additionally he provides his extensive knowledge of food and wine. His personal involvement provides a unique wonderful evening of food, wine and fun.

Got in to dinner there later than we normally would and the entire team right up to the owner and chef were very accommodating and warm. Food was excellent. Lemon cello cake so light you don’t need to save room for it.
We have been looking for that special Italian restaurant in Sarasota and finally found it and n Pietro’s!! The old school Italian feel like your the most important customer to Pietro and his wife Susan is so special. The food is awesome I especially loved the lobster ravioli and the eggplant parmigiana Hubby loved the veal chop Milanese. Don’t shy away from Pietro’s wine by the glass Awesome!!! Our server Johanna was so amazing a huge shout out to her!! We cancelled a very expensive restaurant on the water in siesta key for our last dinner to come to Pietro’s and so glad we did we are leaving with such full tummy’s and heartfelt good bye s we will be back next year???
The lasagna was just so-so, in my opinion. It tasted just like what I make and I'm not Italian! It could use some bechamel sauce for sure. The black grouper special was very good and so was the chocolate hazelnut cake.

The wine room is beautiful and we were there on a Wednesday night, the place was full and lively. Great ambience for a wonderful Italian dinner.
