We've been here many times and down take away several more. Always been very happy with the food. Everything is made fresh. You have to be a little careful about the spices if you're not used to it, but their dishes are tasty and flavorful. But the main thing is the staff is excellent. Friendly and nothing less than great service on every occasion. It's one of our favorite places.

I moved to Sarasota recently and have tried to find the perfect Indian food place! I found it. The food is incredible. I order the Butter Chicken and naan. When I picked up my last order I was so excited to learn they have a lunch buffet. I will be going to the buffet soon! Highly recommend. Gorgeous restaurant inside and the food is fabulous.

We are from UK where Indian cuisine is VERY popular and to be honest we were pretty (I personally VERY) disappointed with our dining experience which was disappointing; friends recently gave it a fantastic recommendation. Waiter was very pleasant but came across at times as a bit overworked; it seemed that the restaurant was vastly understaffed with adjacent tables being uncleared and we had to “offload” some of our used plates to adjacent unoccupied tables. Little guidance given on wine selection or menu choices from outset. To be honest I lost interest in dining here within about 5 minutes of being seated which, as an Indian food lover I have never experienced!!!!! We ordered vegetable and chicken pakora as a starter and waiter walked away on this being ordered (no entree asked for which was strange and we didn’t see him for a while; he appeared busy elsewhere). ‘Free starters’ very disappointed; dips for popadom, very small portion size and dips not to our taste but that may be a difference in what we used to from UK. Vegetable pakora was lovely. Chicken pakora; did not impress!! Chicken tikka masala was decent Chicken Korma was decent Garlic Nan was good. Looking forward to our next UK meal. Overall this eating experience was ok; definitely not the best Indian food I’ve had unfortunately

Rasoi is a gem. Delicious choices, great food bar on the weekend, and consistently great food and service. They'll make dishes as hot or cool as you want. Our go to place for sure.

While visiting a friend, she recommended this place for dinner and boy it did not disappoint. Delicious food, big portions, and a fully stocked menu. I think it would take me a lifetime to try everything, but I'm ok with that because I'll definitely be back... even without the friend. Sadly my phone died, so no pics.

Lots of employees standings around not doing much. Kind of seedy strip mall place with stagnant energy. They charge WAY too much for a hot chai tea ($5). That was a bit offensive gouging for tea. The food doesn't have enough spice or flavor. I won't be back.

New owner, new menu, new decor, new music as tasteful as the food (vs Bollywood videos), and great new attitude about service and quality from the staff. A new fave for Indian food when we are in SRQ (about 3 times a year over 6 weeks). We used to come to this location in prior years, but after a couple consecutive disappointing visits under prior ownership, I was done giving them another chance. I really have to thank other prior diners for their honest reviews, as they convinced me to return. And very glad we did. Food was great and service was attentive. I can't wait to come back and explore the menu more.

So I normally don’t write reviews unless their worthy of me,I’m also not the normal white person who only salts and pepper there food but this chicken marsala was so good! Words can not describe.it was robust and chicken melts in your mouth!!! The sauce is so creamy and flavorful. My girl friend approves to because she cannot stop eating it

We've taken a number of people here, including family & friends and this restaurant has never failed to produce anything but top notch food. We have collectively worked our way through most of the menu, and everything we've had was awesome! Service is always prompt, efficient & friendly. Parking (because they are in a strip mall) can be sometime a challenge, but we tend to go there at non-traditional meal times.

What a phenomenal place! The food was excellent, one of the very best meals I've had in Sarasota. Rasoi was recommended highly by a friend, and what an excellent recommendation it was! Some friends and I had dinner here tonight and ordered multiple dishes including the spring rolls, a couple of the Naans, curry chicken, and a couple of the lamb dishes. The flavors were fresh and wonderful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, tasteful and unpretentious. Our sever, Christian was pleasant and patient, as most of us weren't very familiar with many of the numerous dishes they offer on their extensive menu. And the prices are very reasonable. If you like traditional Indian cuisine, then this is definitely a place you want to try. I will definitely be returning.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Sarasota. Everything from the service to the food is absolutely exceptional; the staff are very friendly and accommodating, and their carefully curated cuisine is phenomenal. The restaurant itself is kept very clean; the silverware / glassware is always polished and neatly presented, and the booths and floors are swept and free of debris. I highly recommend this establishment and their lamb curry!

Quality of food has deteriorated. It used to be good. We used to go there regularly. But we are not sure if we will go there again.

The food is delicious! But their portions are ridiculous! Ordered delivery, payed 90$ and got enough food to feed 3 ppl. 2 entrees 1 chicken order, it has about 6-7 small pieces.and received one tiny tub of rice. Plus 3, 1/2 pieces of flat bread. 1 piece is 5$. What a rip off! You would think for 20$ an entree you'd get a decent meal. They are delicious, but I won't be ordering again. The price is just not worth the amount of food your getting. It almost looks like they give bigger portions if you dine in vs order delivery.

We had excellent service and we all enjoyed our meals last night. Overall a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend Rasoi if you're in the mood for Indian cuisine. Our waitress was very helpful in making recommendations and she was spot on. Definitely adding Rasoi to our list of good to restaurants in Sarasota.
