Finally a Chinese restaurant that can make food! No stoopid peas, carrots and yellow pale looking anemic rice! Reminds me of home chicago! Keep doing what your doing and I'll keep bringing my $$$ to you!!???

Rice Box offers the best Chinese cuisine in Sarasota, fresh, tasty, not too heavy, not overcooked and they are not using old oil. The shrimp's with coconut curry are delicious, the egg rolls and pepper steak and the sweet chili tofu are super tasty. I will always recommend this cuisine and place, I have been a loyal customer since 2015. Agnes.

I decided to give Rice Box Express a try as it is one of the better rated Chinese places around although it recently has received some negative reviews. Unfortunately, I found that the reviews were more than true. The food was almost inedible. My Bourbon Chicken was SO salty that I was only able to have a couple of bites before tossing it away. The rice and lo mein was extremely dry and seemed a bit stale. The only things that were good were the egg rolls and the dumplings which I’m sure come frozen and they just steam and fry.

Ive been coming here since the place opened years ago, tonight was the last straw. Ordered Lo Mein with egg, they had 2 cooked eggs on top . Egg drop soup is made with chicken broth?? Looks like C#M honestly.. it's slowly gone to hell in the 20+ years, IM OUT.....

After being a massive advocate for the Rice Box after the past 2-3 years, I can no longer recommend this place. Tonight the service was horrible. It was over an hour wait for our food to be ready and it wasn’t complete until nearly thirty minutes after the time we were provided online. By the time we received the second order that was placed at literally the exact same time, the first order was cold.
The portion size for the steak and broccoli my girlfriend ordered was pretty bad. The container was less than half full at best and it was mostly broccoli. The food tastes okay but for what it cost, that was a disappointment. Also, the egg drop soup she ordered as a side wasn’t very good and it appeared as if the pieces of egg were underdone?
The worst part was my meal - the pad Thai. Its probably the worst pad Thai I’ve ever had. It’s extremely salty, the noodles aren’t crispy whatsoever and the peanut sauce has zero flavor. I even paid extra to add more shrimp, extra mixed veggies and crushed peanuts. That’s not what I received… Also, the noodles appear and taste like those used in fettuccine, not rice noodles.
After spending over $50 for two meals to receive cold, mediocre food, this was a huge let down. I will not be returning unless something massively changes. This place used to be very good and I defended them online all the time from people whom I thought were “haters.” I guess I was the one who was wrong. Sad.

We love ordering from Rice Box! They are one of the few places locally that has really good vegan options for us. The sesame and orange tofu's are great.

They never miss. This is quite possibly the best fast Chinese place you're gonna find around here. They're great people, they have never missed a detail on our order, the food is always cooked right, if anything they give you more than you ordered. They're great and deserve all the success.

First time I tried this place, the food was delivered 40 minutes early (she said they weren’t busy) hot and delicious. I got the Singapore noodles with chicken. Fresh noodles, ordered spice on the side and did not eat it, but I don’t do real spicy. The pan fried potstickers were delicious too. They use the thin wrappers not the thick wrappers. There was a promotion for free pork and egg fried rice if you ordered a certain dollar amount. The rice could have used more egg and pork, but it was free and the flavor and consistency were good. Happy to have found a delicious Asian deliver place!
