Rico's Pizzeria & Pasta House

Just a FYI if you apply for a job at Rico's Pizza and Pasta in Sarasota be prepared to have your picture taken without warning. A pretty crummy hiring practice. Regardless of your qualifications and ability, you will be be judged by a picture that you're not asked to be taken or be prepared for. Of course you're going to probably look like hell being caught off guard. I certainly won't be patronizing this restraunt, and y'all know I spend a lot of money on food and drinks. Ageism at it best

beyond mediocre. they also advertise false prices online and then charge you more when you call in the order. need to be reported to the better business bureau, I brought it up to the staff and was told they knew the prices were off. absolutely avoid

Great vibe, friendly staff, tremendous pizza! I look forward to eating here again.

Great food. I had Calzone and a slice. They were both very good. Only bad thing was it was Sunday and there was no football on any tvs.

All the food is good but I love coming to Rico's for its pizza. Good vibe - my kids' favorite pizzeria when they were young and we go for nostalgia and a great pie and beer these days. The service is unrushed, which some call slow but makes for a relaxing meal - very different from most places in this tourist town. And while there are sports on the big tv screens, easy to have conversations. Limited but very good selection of beers. If you are looking for a laid-back place for great pizza, Rico's is highly recommended

Really loved the pizza here. Nice thin crust and great tasting pizza sauce. Service fantastic!! If I had to be picky wish the cheese bread was cooked to golden brown, just a little bit more. Will be back!!

FOOD WAS SO GOOD!!!! Seating was pretty nice, and the bathrooms were quite clean! :D

Vegetarian options: Salads and some pizzas are clearly labeled as vegetarian.

Parking: The parking lot is pretty small since this is downtown Sarasota.

Kid-friendliness: As long as the kids are respectful, they’re ok to bring!

Called for PICK UP at 8:25. They stated they could only offer slices of pizza because they closed in 30 minutes!?! I've worked in many restaurants, have never heard anything like this. Just close at 8:30 then!!

Authentic Italian. This place can't be beat. The pizza really is the best south of New Jersey. The meatball sub was fantastic as well. If you're in the area this place is a must stop

I was from out of town and we decided to come here and it didn’t disappoint! Idr our servers name but she was amazing and made my sons bday special and brought a piece of cake out for him as a surprise !! It was very nice and made the visit even better than it already was. Amazing food amazing people

The person taking the order has no idea on how to take an order! I ordered two pizzas to pick and and when we arrived we were told they were given to someone else
Then the story changed
Management is none existent!

I called to order a pickup order at 9:36 and they close at 10 and they told me they can't do my order because they were done for the night. When a place says they close at 10 that should mean they should take orders till 10 not 930. If that's the case maybe they should advertise they close at 9:30. I won't ever order from there again.
