Had a great Saturday night dinner. Four people, three dishes, including an 18” Works pizza, add garlic and jalapeños, YUM! A bowl of spaghetti and clams with red sauce, and stuffed shells. The two pasta bowls came with garlic bread and good sized side salads. And aAdded a small Greek salad that was enough to split.The pizza was GREAT and also very good on the reheat the next day. The stuffed shells were good, if that’s your thing, not mine. But the star of the show, was the spaghetti and clams in red sauce extra garlic and extra spicy ?️!!!Don’t let the 3 stars on atmosphere dissuade you. It’s just that it’s a hole in the wall, pretty small and well used. A LOT of people came for pick ups and their drivers were busy with deliveries.Last but not least, our service was great due to our server Nalan, who was very busy, but remained smiling, friendly and attentive!!!

After eating next door at Lovely Square in favorite Gulf Gate old quaint shopping center, we noticed quite a few people coming / going into Rico's so today we decided to try it. It reminds me inside of an older neighborhood pizzeria in Yorktown NYC in the 70's. Long time staff inside worked very fast in creating our Medium eggplant sausage extra sauce pizza, a chicken parm hot sub and a deluxe hot Italian cold cut sub which were giant with tall mounds of shredded mozzarella before going into the pizza oven! We grabbed them quickly and were home in 10 minutes. They were still very hot! The Italian tomato sauce, most important ingredient, was very very good! Spices added great robust flavor- - ssssooooo essential in Italian cooking ( I cook my own San marzano tomato sauce slowly for 3-4 hours / lots of oregano basil etc w top Costco ground beef). The eggplant was thin, cooked perfectly and added spectacular flavor with the sausage. And excellent top quality whole milk shredded mozzarella was used too. Portion sizes for everything, generous. Bread pizza crust fresh soft delicious. The medium pizza had 6 large slices. We used to go to Picolo Italian Market across the street until the new owner ( bought shop 2 years ago), suddenly changed the pizza sauce ingredients making it more bland/cheaper seasoning. Prices- - excellent. NOW we shall go to Rico's! Enjoy!

We ordered takeout one topping pizza. There was runny cheese and very little topping. The topping that was there was all throw into to the middle. Rico's used to be our favorite go to pizza place in Sarasota. Not anymor. We keep coming back and it Keeps getting worse. They sure have changed.

Our web order arrived promptly and as ordered. The marinara sauce and veggie stromboli were superb. Tiramisu was a yummy end to our meal. Would order both again.

I like Rico's pizza a lot. I'm from Chicago and the restaurant quality in Sarasota is severely lacking to me as far as quality and customer service but for whatever reason Sarasota seems to excel in the pizza department. Rico's is one of our favorites. They care about their customers and it shows. We order delivery here frequently! My son is a busy boy with school and basketball and loves Rico's. I've never had an issue with their delivery and not once have I been disappointed by their pie.

The pizzas to go were prepared to perfection only I regret bringing it to West End Pub as they ate all but the one slice I had and never said thank you for it's services rendered.
We ordered take out. Pizza was passable but crust was not very crisp. Why oh why does no one in Sarasota use real Italian sausage? Cutting sausage off a roll does not add flavor. Try using real ground sausage. Sauce is very good and the used plenty of cheese.

Horrible service Sal was a dick Laughing at me cause I complained about the pasta being watery and his remark was like oh I made it fresh YESTERDAY so daily fresh food is a lie!!! Shoot food and shitty service Never ever ever again will I eat here!!!! Shitty shit shit food!! Disgusti

2nd time I asked for half baked pie to finish it at home. 2nd time I got burnt pizza! Paid for extra cheese got burnt cheese. Never again. I'll drive the few extra miles south and get Big Mike's!
