Memorably good food. We especially enjoyed the sweetbreads, lamb chops (rack), vichysoise, wienershnitsel, and desserts the waiters are knowledgeable and friendly, excellent wine variety and prices. The venue is a bit old fashioned and quiet when we sit in wine room. Looking forward to our next visit

Roessler's is a hidden jem, which is surprising given its long history. This restaurant is excellent in every respect. It may be the best "continental cuisine" restaurant in the Sarasota area, the service is excellent, the menu is interesting and wide, the wine list is outstanding, the decor and ambience are also excellent. What every diner wants: an excellent dining experience.

The food here was good! We had a big party last week and everyone said their food was delicious. I personally tried the steak and crab cakes which were very good. However…. this is one of the WEIRDEST service experiences I have ever endured. Upon arrival, the manager was quite rude. She demanded our large party all pay on one bill rather than being able to split it between the groups, all while she was snorting and clearing phlegm from her throat in a very gross and inappropriate manner. We were then all seated and proceeded to order drinks. Within 2 minutes, the server rushed in and told us that we needed to open the menu and order all food right away, trying to rush us. The whole experience was really strange and rubbed me the wrong way, though the food was still tasty. With better customer service, this place has potential.

I'll start with the manager. He was outstanding and unobtrusively made each party celebrating a special occasion to feel a personal welcome and like family. He also made his work seem EASY and ENJOYABLE while running an extremely tight ship. I would highly recommend leaving room for dessert. The chocolate crepe was made at our table and the best dessert I EVER ate. Everyone ordered something different and all marveled at the quality, presentation and taste. I won't even pinpoint - because everyone loved their meal. A special vegan dish was presented to one diner and the staff took care to make sure it was to his liking. It was a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience - until we go back again! Thank you!

When I see people saying the food is expensive , I just don't get it. What do you expect? A garden restaurant with a amazing view of window seats and dressed up waiters all around but serve $10 dinner combos????? If u have certain budget of your dinner, check their menu and your checking account balance first before you go. It's not their fault if u think that's too expensive for u. To me their price was fair enough, I ordered a duck, it was yummy, waiter was pretty cool, he has some knowledge about cars so we had a nice talk.Will be back for sure.

This is the place for some amazing food, atmosphere and wait staff. We had our 20th anniversary at this wonderful restaurant and it did not disappoint! We'll worth every penny. The wine, appetizers entrée's and dessert was phenomenal. I couldn't find a flaw, not that I was looking, an excellent option for any special occasion.
