Ruth's Chris Steak House

Our party of four, celebrating a birthday for a young lady of 39. We had a very enjoyable time. We felt comfortable and our waiter was one of the best waiters we've ever had. From the moment we walked in We were greeted by the maître d' who sat us us at our table with festive confetti of birthday celebration. Our Hors d'oeuvres were delicious and full of flavors to be never forgotten. Our entrées were cooked exactly the way we asked, But our dessert was explosive. Incredibly delicious. 

The steaks are served on extremely hot plate, seasoned to perfection and the sweet potato casserole with brown sugar and pecans is best ever tasted.

Made a reservation for April 19 for my husbands birthday at 7:45. On the reservation on Open Tanle I said it was my husbands birthday. Got a call on April 19th confirming the reservation and the man asked me his first name. I told him and reminded him it was his birthday and I wanted a booth. He said perfect ; we'd have one. Ugh no we were brought to the benches that have chairs on one side ands the long bench across. When I mentioned that HE had called me and confirmed we were getting a booth. I hate those seats !!! On top of everyone . I wouldn't have cared had I not had two conversations ; one just hours before. The man said he had talked to me but “unfortunately couldn't fulfill the request. Asked for the manager and he was the biggest goof I've ever had. Zero communication skills; had nothing to say till I asked for the corporate card. The original( older man )said we could have a square table for 4 . Five minutes later he said some party hadn't showed up and we could have a booth right outside of a large private party . Moved 3 times with them bringing confetti causing people to notice. Finally the food was subpar. Ordered my filet medium well and waitress made a point of asking if it came more well done would that be OK . I said yes since I'd rather have it cooked more rather than undercooked; but your a steakhouse. The one thing you should get right was your steaks. My husband got a medium rare steaks and mine was redder than his. And I had to wait for waitress to come back since she and other employees were breaking down the private room. Total horrible experience ; food, customer service . All staff need a an interpersonal communication course including the so called “manager”. Run don't walk away from this steakhouse. Way to many fine steakhouses in the area

Another wonderful dinner at Sarasotas Ruth Chris. The filet was cooked perfectly and we always love the sweet potato casserole. The drinks were delicious as well. The bartenders make the perfect cosmo. Great staff too. And bathrooms are so clean!

Excellent at Tamiami Trail in Sarasota Florida! Wonderful time tonight and great food and service.

The food and service is always top tier at Ruth's Chris. We were dining in to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our  waitress was Erin and  she was amazing.  we both got the Ruth's classics,  steak/shrimp and steak/lobster. Both entrees and sides were fantastic. We always order the lobster mac as well, it's my husband favorite. So delicious all around! We will be returning soon. Thank you!

Food was spot on. I was very happy with the food and service. The facility is looking a little tired, but the kitchen did an excellent job.

We booked a table in advance and were looking forward to it...a surprise or an adventure…

The restaurant hall is solemn and elegant, the waiters are friendly and enthusiastic, our seats are in the corner, and we didn’t see a rack to hang windbreakers in the restaurant, so we put them on the seats next to us…

We ordered the T-bone and lobster platter, my family member said there might be a mix up, his T-bone was too cooked and he didn't want to eat it, and my steak on the lobster platter was just right...

He didn't want to complain, that wasn't his style, he didn't want to eat and take away...

Garlic mashed potatoes taste great.

Today's dinner experience was enjoyable, it just didn't turn out the way I expected.

Everything was perfect until one of my guest found a hair on her steak and shrimp from a staff member. Of course management made it right by not charging for that steak on the bill. Also, three of my guest steaks were not cooked correct (medium) on the first try. They came out rare or medium rare. But the staff quickly fixed the issue. We go here a lot as it's close to our house/. This is really the first time we've ever had problems. The staff is wonderful to work with...

Jake and the team were very attentive and took great care of us. Food is always great, and you know you're going to spend a little more than usual. Steaks are prepared perfectly, sides are great for sharing!

Great service from ladies who brought the bread, all the way through to the waitress. Steaks, as usual, outstanding, and cooked to perfection. All in all a very, very enjoyable experience. Well done!

We had an awesome time at the restaurant last night! We had a reservation to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. When we arrived, they had a table prepared with birthday greetings on it. We had prompt attentive service from Diana and the food was excellent as always.

I stayed in Sarasota for the weekend because I wanted to be closer to the beach, I wanted to treat my girl to a nice restaurant for her birthday. I had never been to Ruth's Chris, so I decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, the hosts were very nice and professional. They quickly found us a table and decorated it with a birthday theme, plus gave my girl a birthday card. The food was tasty and cooked just right. Really recommend the lobster and Mac.

Parking: There are plenty of spots around the building. Valet was also available.

Wheelchair accessibility: There's a wheelchair ramp.
