The room was a family suite with 2 bedrooms (1 king and 2 full size beds). The room's a/c were good. The bathrooms were ok and the room shows how old this hotel is. At least they were clean. The free hot breakfast was a dissapointment compare to other hotels where I had free breakfast. Overall I was expecting something better but how close it is to the beach and the limited selection in the area, I will say that it was ok.

The staff was great and rooms were kept clean. Hotel staff was knowledgeable and provided all kinds of help. Breakfast was not very good, but otherwise, would defnitely come back!! Location was great. Central and close to beaches and food.

We love this place! Guests and locals mingle and word of mouth keeps the hotelAnd Tiki bar hopping. I heard a new company is taking over so I hope they keep the Tiki pool bar, it’s an amazing family friendly amenity!! Keep the Sand Dollar!!!

This hotel is trash for what they charge. It’s old and dirty. Saw several palmetto bugs and many ants… more than you’d expect for just being “Florida”. I am born and raised in FL and there was enough to know that they have a problem. The room was dingy and not very clean. The vent in the bathroom had gobs of clumped dust. The bathroom door was misaligned and would not shut. The room key would not work almost every time and we had to get a replacement and that still did not function properly. They kept telling us we must have had the key next to a cell phone, which after the first time we didn’t. The breakfast was gross, fake eggs and stale bread. Ants all over the counters, tables and walls in the breakfast area. Brown bananas and “table syrup” (which is high fructose corn syrup) instead of maple syrup. The “free beach shuttle” doesn’t begin until 10:00 AM, most people want to be to the beach before that!! Not worth the money at all!! Horrible experience and I will never stay here again. I recommend you don’t either.

Good: the front desk staff was helpful and friendly, as was Lisa who managed the poolside bar. Not so good:The pool left a bit to be desired. The tiled section at the lower pool deck needs cleaning, and the entire pool was cloudy for several days and had not been vacuumed for at least a few days. Outdoor hot tub was clear and clean. Breakfast yogurt was broken for several days and the coffee machine broke and was unavailable for a few days. It seems as if a bag of recyclables leaked all over the elevator floor and was not cleaned up but eventually dried to a sticky floor. In general, there seemed to be a lessening in attention to detail throughout the property.

I booked this motel due to the listed amenities. Nightly popcorn and cookies, breakfast, and a hot tub. Of our four night stay, the young man, said he was the manager, working early evenings only made popcorn and cookies one night. Hot tub jets didn't work for two days, I let the same young man know on the first night. When the knob was finally fixed the jets were laughable. The older lady working at breakfast, second week employed, threw up her hands and put an out of order sign on the specialty coffee machine, rather than fill the empty ingredients. I extended our stay by one night, only because we didn't want to move our stuff and the location worked well for us. The 'manager" was unwilling to honor the price we had paid through their motel website for an additional night. We had to pay $20 extra dollars due to occupancy which was under 50% full.

Overall, not a bad hotel. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast offered was average with fresh bananas and oranges. The TV service has some issues where the guide doesn't show anything. I asked about this at the front desk and was told that they couldn't find a company to fix the problem. Being that I do this kind of work for a living, I know that isn't true. They may not be able to afford the repair or the owners won't pay for it. The room towels were old and thin. The rooms were clean and acceptable. There is a popcorn machine in the lobby that had the same popcorn on the floor for three days. On two occasions during our stay, the dirty towels in the pool area were left out overnight without being cleaned up. In all fairness like many businesses these days, they may be having problems hiring staff. My only real issue was that when we booked on Hotels.com the listing stated that there would be no refund if the prepaid reservation was cancelled. All in all, not a bad hotel and yes, we would stay there in the future. Also, there is a good selection of restaurants in walking distance, including am awesome pizza and Italian restaurant in the shopping center behind the hotel.

This hotel is not a Grand Old Lady - but it is a Charming Old Lady !! The staff was helpful and the beach location was a nice feature. Hotel was updated about 9 years ago and it is ready for another update.

Our stay was in April 2022. Problems started right at check-in with front desk manager when we were told reservation for a 6 night stay was almost cancelled for no apparent reason but only maintained reservation because of my membership status. Indicated at check-in that we intended to pay with cash at end of stay which we did. In spite of this, front desk still charged our credit card which took over a week to sort out and have reversed when we returned home. Accounting glitch or intentional? Requested to speak to the hotel manager but they were either hiding in back office not wanting to deal with issues or covering at another property. Other guests were having similar problems with the front desk not honouring a gift card to pay for their stay. Only positive is their proximity to Siesta Key as this is an old 60's style motel with dated rooms and pool area. Very unprofessional management and oversight.

The staff were very nice and friendly. This was our first trip post covid. The rooms were clean. Siesta Key is more than a mile away and not walkable when it's very hot. We had no problem finding parking in the early morning. You definitely need the car. We went to the Ringling Museum and it was a great take - don't miss it. Sarasota drinking water is horrible be prepared to buy bottled water.

Staff friendly/helpful. Room was nice enough. Clean. Bed and pillows comfortable. Rates high for motel but good location. (I didn’t realize it was a motel when I booked or wouldn’t have done that!) King size bed with small refrigerator. Hot breakfast and free parking.

I traveled with my husband the hotel was definitely nothing fancy but it was very clean well runned and had what you needed for a siesta key vacation the breakfast was set up very nicely each morning and the pool was very nice and clean and they had a small bar which was perfect for an afternoon cocktail would definitely go back

This hotel was just OK. It was fine for the one night we stayed there but I definitely wouldn’t be happy staying there longer than that. It is definitely dated. The breakfast was kind of gross. They only had one person working the breakfast area and I felt bad for him. The front desk staff was nice to us despite what others have written. They only provided us with 2 towels in the bathroom but they happily gave us more when asked. The location was convenient to the beach and such. And the pool was nice and clean.

Expensive for a dated hotel, unfriendly and unhappy staff, poor servicing of rooms (on two of the 6 days the room hadn't been serviced by 4pm even tough we left the room by 10am), and unappetizing breakfast.
