the atmosphere was tacky. the fish was chewy and dry. my sister said her ravioli was so bland and flavorless. Our waiter Nenad was horrible and we weren’t even able to speak to a real manager.?

Sardinia deserves a 4.75 and maybe higher. Food is delicious and service exceptional too. A bit loud due to the room size and table placements, but that's required to run a business in SRQ. The Sardinian Bread is exceptional. All pastas are homemade...and wonderful as well. We had a delicious dinner and look forward to returning.

Food was pretty good with a good price point and wait time wasn’t too long.Service was ok, but needs a bit of improvement… waiter didn’t seem to be the most enthusiastic person in the industry but could’ve been worse…The noise level however was the absolute worst we’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. I could not hear my wife across the table without leaning over. It was a mix of obnoxious people (which is not the restaurant’s fault i guess) but some padding on the ceiling and maybe drapes could help to isolate some of that noise. It was so bad that we will not be coming back, even though the food was good.If you’re seated on one of the 2 tables in the entry way you can consider yourself lucky. Or reserve outside seating I guess

Left home early because we anticipated heavy traffic. You never know in season. On a Saturday evening we breezed arriving at 4:30 for 5:00PM reservation. Sardinia is notorious for flipping tables at 7:00PM so arriving late is mistake. We could had sat in the parking lot but we walked in, after numerous trip to Italy we expected Italian hospitality. WRONG The staff in the front of the restaurant was obnoxious. Forced are way to table only to met with more hostility. So we left with a open bottle of over priced wine As luck would have it rolled into a fist class Italian restaurant were the staff is first class and food great. La Violetta for a five star meal.

We had a lovely dinner with out of town guests. Service is top notch and delicious food. My only note is because it's so popular, the Din is a little bit high. The chef even cares enough to visit with the patrons to check in on them!Definitely make a reservation.

Highly recommend. Extensive menu offers numerous choices of Sardinian cuisine. Waitstaff super courteous. Our server, Marianna, gracious and attentive reviewing the menu and making suggestions for food and wine. All great. Delicious enjoyable evening. Thank you chef and entire team. Will return!

Amazing food everyday. Johnny is great. Food is great and cooked accordingly and I would go back a million times because of him

The food and service cannot be beat. The mushroom in Parmesan basket appetizer was delicious and the freshly handmade pasta dishes were as good as any you could find anywhere. The chef and staff lived up to their reputations. Just go and enjoy!

I called the restaurant to inquire if it was a BYOB. I was told that we could bring one and only one bottle of wine and no hard liquor. When we arrived at the restaurant they had a wine list and the waiter asked if we wanted him to open our bottle of wine. Had we known there was wine available we would not have brought our own. The waiter opened our bottle and after the fact said there would be a corkage fee instead of telling us beforehand. When we received our bill the corkage fee was an outrageous forty dollars. Had he told us it would have been that much to open the bottle we would have ordered off of the wine list. I understand a corkage fee but forty dollars is excessive. Suffice to say we will never patronize this restaurant again.

Sardinia had been one of my favorite restaurants. The food is great, the service is good, and the dining room is lovely. Last night, however, the sound level was unacceptable. I could not hear my dining companions. I would hope that they could address this.

Hardtoplease

Our second time here was a little disappointing. We could not taste the bottarga in the dishes we ordered, as the amount served was truly minimal. My husband did not enjoy his pasta, which was dry and tasteless, and the clams included were small and few. This was not a fitting tribute to the island of Sardinia, which we know well.

We visited Sardinia for my wife's Birthday and b/c I once lived in Sardegna and was curious. The Chef is from Calgiari in the far South of the Island. The food is traditional, e.g., cooked on a wood fire oven with homemade & super fresh ingredient's. Ariana was one of the best servers we have ever had. She made solid food recommendations and was very experienced in de-boning & serving the Spigola in salt dome we ordered. For wine, try the Ballu Tundu Cannonau Riserva!

Beachcities

Our waiter and service were fabulous! I loved my Sardinia entree but my husband and another guest were not fond of their linguine pescatore dish. Lots of pasta and very little seafood.

Fantastic food and service. Noise level when full is quite high. We definitely recommend this restaurant to people that love great Italian food and wine. The reds from Sardinia are very good and reasonably priced.
