Hidden Gemstone! While visiting FL my group found this place on a whim and I am soooo glad we went! Amazing authentic food. Amazing and friendly staff! Got to meet Heidi herself and her energy was infectious~ quick witted with sarcasm, she had us dying of laughter!! I will definitely be back for the food and the laughs!

In town and looked for German food and found Schnitzel Kitchen and tried it. Entering the door you know you are in a true German restaurant. The decor, decorations and atmosphere are very similar to what I experienced in Germany. They offer different options and types of dishes, even vegetarians have a schnitzel option. If you select type of schnitzel and then select the sauce or topping. They offer other dishes than schnitzel. I would say the prices are higher than I would have expected. Portion for the schnitzel was large. I had the red cabbage and warm german potato salad they were delicious and had the right amount of tang. While there they had live entertainment and the whole restaurant sang and were involved. Very fun. Heidi the owner came by each table and talked with everyone. When you drive up the outside is two strip mall type buildings with a street between and parking is tight with angled and parallel parking. Don’t be detoured by the outside or area, go in and have fun.

Walking into Schnitzel Kitchen, you're greeted by lots of kitchy German decor, complete with steins, cuckoo clocks, and other memorabilia. It's cute in a quaint sort of way. Food is good, although a bit bland for my taste. We started with the potato pancake appetizer, and then we both got schnitzel dishes. I just found myself reaching for the salt and pepper more than I would have expected. And I thought the $100 check with nothing alchoholic was a little bit pricey. So I found it good, but not great. But taste is subjective, so I think it's worth a try to see what you think.

The food is good which is a shame because the service is awful. There is one server and she is extremely rude. The experience becomes so very uncomfortable because of her presence. My family and I have been here several times and finally have refused to go back because of how rude the server is. It makes no sense.

Excellent vegetarian schnitzel. Loved the cucumber salad and red cabbage with it. Portion was quite large, had enough for leftovers. My only issue would be the prices are a bit high to go on a regular basis.

We haven’t been there in over a year but when we decided to go back it was disappointing! The atmosphere was good but the food got very pricey and it wasn’t good at all. We had schnitzel what consisted mostly of breading and very little meat. For me coming from Bavaria, I know what a schnitzel should look like. There are a lot better options for German food on the area!

My wife and I found this place online while visiting the Sarasota area. It is located in a block of numerous small restaurants with free, off-street parking on both sides of the block. The restaurant has a festive German decor with a modest amount of indoor seating. The owner, Heidi, was present and she was very friendly and attentive while our server was very businesslike, fairly attentive, but she kept making mistakes on the food items we ordered. The menu is fairly extensive and all of the food items we ordered were excellent. The server stated that they only offer German beers unfortunately, they were out of the brand I ordered and the draft pilsner the server kept offering was a poor replacement. Overall, we enjoyed our meal despite the small mishaps during our visit and I would highly recommend this place for decent German fair.

Ton of fun! The food did not disappoint! They have a wonderful varied menu with terrific service. The added bonus was the live music! But not too loud! The owner is an absolute delight! She is willing to sing snd drink with you! The atmosphere brings you back to a German basement or small restaurant in Bavaria!

What a cool place! We went for my husband’s birthday and it was a fun atmosphere with music, and ticky-tocky cheers with Das Boot! The food and the service were awesome! Heidi and her team work hard to entertain and serve the guests. We went with a friend who has celiac and they were able to accommodate her which was awesome! We had the vegetarian schnitzel, potato dumplings and red cabbage. We sampled the potato pancakes and pretzel. The pretzel was on the smaller side for the price but still very good. Highly recommend the chocolate mousse for dessert!
