Heidi’s Schnitzel Kitchen

Highly recommend very good food live music when we were here. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. The waitress was awesome. Can't say enough good about the place.

I can’t say enough good things about Heidi’s. We brought my 14 yr old grandson there for his birthday because he loves everything about Germany. The food was great, the prices are reasonable and the ambience is delightful. Our server was terrific and Heidi treated us wonderfully. She made my grandson feel special and got the whole room to sing happy birthday for him when our server brought us their great plum cake with a candle in it. One of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had in Sarasota!

I went to Sarasota to visit my 92 year old father. He met my lovely mother in Augsburg Germany after the war. My father and I make a trip to Heidi's each time I come.

The food, service and atmosphere reminds me of my time at home when we all were young and healthy. Truly a wonderful experience and hope from my family to yours you can enjoy this wonderful experience.

Great experience! Feels like a dining room in a home.. very authentic German food.. the sauerkraut was amazing.
They take great precautions for celiac and gluten free food.

Fantastic German restaurant with an equally fantastic owner. Heidi is wonderful—welcoming, attentive, and clearly passionate about the place. The food was excellent, hearty, and full of flavor. I had the meatloaf special and it was outstanding: perfectly cooked, comforting, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the kind of place you want to linger and enjoy your meal. A great spot for authentic German food and genuine hospitality. Highly recommend!

Had the Jaegerschnitzel with Fries and Spaetzle. Schnitzel was a little overcooked for my taste. Breading was dark brown not the golden brown as you should expect. Therefore meat was a little dry. Portion size was more than enough. See attached Pic and judge for yourself.

I should have heeded the negative reviews. This place was less than half filled on Saturday night for good reason. It is pretty expensive too. My slow roasted pork butt was pre sliced and prr prepared. It was luke warm. My wife's beef strogonoff was the same ..overcooked cubes of beef. The potatoe pancakes were good though. The atmosphere was festive but they need to prepare their dishes more to order..I expect this place to be out of business within the next year..

The Veal Schnitzel was fabulous! Including all the sides our table had! Potato Pancakes delish! Can't wait to go back! Oh and Heidi is a JOY!

Hidden Gemstone! While visiting FL my group found this place on a whim and I am soooo glad we went! Amazing authentic food. Amazing and friendly staff! Got to meet Heidi herself and her energy was infectious~ quick witted with sarcasm, she had us dying of laughter!! I will definitely be back for the food and the laughs!

Tried this place for the second time about a week ago.we dined here last year during our vacation and enjoyed it.
This time it felt outdated and very PRICEY! the quality of the food and service did not justify a high bill.
Service wasn’t really friendly anymore either.It was okay but not great or anything special
Dinner for two way over $100 with just one small beer.I know times are different but they raised their prices significantly and at the end of the day my schnitzel was a pork schnitzel.pork is not that expensive
Anyway…….we may try again but most likely won’t be back.If my bill is that high the food and service need to be on point but that’s not the case here
