Burger was tough and unseasoned. We ordered a beer and all the bartender could talk about was how terrible that beer tasted while we were drinking it. Turns out the beer was 100 times better than the burger. Dark and crusty looking place. Never again for us I don’t know how this had a 4.5 rating

A true Sarasota classic gem, wonderful.... Well everything with a warm staff and cozy pub interior.

We had a burger and the fish and chips. Both were large portions and delicious!
Our service was fast and friendly. One of the hidden gems in Sarasota.

The bun on the burger tasted stale to me. Not busy at lunch. Was a go to for a great burger, so many other choices these days. Our server got the order right but had zero personality. A little smile and energy when you approach and greet a table is always a good start.

1st time. After reading many reviews and doing a search for good burgers I decided to give this place a try.

Based on reviews it wad made clear the burger would be cooked rare.

Since I like my burger more well done I specifically asked for "Well Done, extra well, no pink".

As you can see from the picture it wasn't even close to well done.

I would chalk it up to maybe not hearing my order but this place was not busy at all.

The meat looks top quality just not cooked enough for me.

Fries were good though. Just feel bad I wasted 20 for a burger I could not even eat.

Delicious burger, chicken and mushroom pie. They used to have a great English curry, wish they'd bring it back. I'd give them a 5 if they bring it back.

Kid-friendliness: Kids can't eat and hang. Much like a normal place.

It's cute but very small. Not really handicap friendly. The service seemed ok at first. We were seated and got drinks right away. Half hour later we still don't have appetizers and they're bringing out our food. Evidently they forgot about us then acted like it was no big deal. Oh well. The food was good so I recommend take out for this place

How does this place have a 4.5 star rating?
Staff were in some kind of fight, not in the back right in front of us. Then they brought mine and my husbands food out, but didn’t bring our kids chicken fingers out- until 20 minutes later. Absolutely insane. While we get that things happen in the kitchen, no one said anything to us about it, no we are sorry, no the kitchen messed up, no how can we help, no offer to remake mine or my husband’s meals that were now cold. My burger was way under and my husband’s meal was meh. My guess is the servers know because they didn’t even bother to ask how the meal was. I hope this review helps the owner/ manager with some training and other potential patrons make better choices.

Very special pub atmosphere. Burgers were the best, great selection of beer. Service was excellent, friendly staff. Our first visit but we will definitely be back.
