Sarasota rum factory that has the same name as the region: Siesta Key. You can take a tour of the factory where they explain the origin, how the rums are made and you can also taste and buy the rum, t-shirts, etc. I highly recommend it.
This is a well-presented tour with ample tastings. I went with a big group (on the trolley) and they handled us with no problems.
A bottle of the 100 proof Toasted Coconut came home with me.
Shane is awesome and gave us a great tour! This place is really cool I highly recommend taking the tour and doing the tasting as well. The coconut rum is just so damn good. Cheers! You guys rock 5 stars!
Great tour, and fantastic rum!
Great tour and their history, thanks Kevin. Great rum and drinks at their bar? Couldn't leave without buying a couple bottles... ??
After taking the tour while on vacation. In April 2024 my wife and I wanted to purchase some toasted rum near our home in Twinsburg, Ohio. We were happy to report we were able to get a bottle and were enjoying some later. Now we know and will investigate for other flavors. Good going Siesta Key Rum glad you're expanding.
I visited this place and it was cool to see the place and check it out. The staff was very nice but the guy in the tasting room, I think his name was Kevin, kept bragging about how drunk he was from all the quality control he does. It was funny at first but he kept going on and on about it that it became pretty annoying. They also mentioned a tour that was about to start so we stayed for the tour and I was expecting like an actual tour of the distillery but that’s not at all what it was. We just sat around listening to the drunk employee talk about the history of the distillery. Towards the end he asked if we had any questions about the tour so far and I was pretty tempted to ask when the tour starts. The coffee rum is also the worst rum I’ve ever had, I’m not sure why they still sell it. During the “tour” there was about 20 people and the drunk employee asked who’s tried the coffee rum and almost everyone raised their hands and he asked how many liked it and not a single person raised their hand saying they liked it. The rum cake is also disgusting, I bought some and took one bite and threw the rest away. The toasted coconut rum is delicious and its great in pina coladas.
Took a tour of the distillery today after seeing the rum in the community once or twice. The tour guides were knowledgeable, thoughtful, and engaged. We were delighted by the small details and considerations of the staff - the distillery clearly has an intention of staying true to its local roots. The rums were all surprising and delicious, we will be back!
Best rum un the west coast. Tasting room is our favorite for a quick taste and purchase rum.
This has to be one of the best tours I have been on. If you are in the area it’s a hidden gem. Don’t miss out.

Great little tour. The rum was as good as the story.
Great little joint! Very information and educational. Samples are really good too!
Pick up the toasted coconut rum cake near the counter, you can thank me later!
Best coconut rum ever! Their use of real coconut and not a typical flavoring sets their toasted coconut rum apart. Tour was informative and it was nice to have the owner and his son as our guides. The distiller reserve is great but my favorite will always be the toasted coconut!
Great history of the company during the tour. Beautiful bar area to enjoy the delicious different rums
Great tour and sampling, fantastic rum, very friendly and informed team. And it's all FREE
