This is easily some of the best BBQ I have ever had and I have had a lot of BBQ in a lot of places. The brisket is perfection and literally melts in your mouth!! Make sure you get there early because the brisket sells out fast. All the sides we tried were really good too. Highly recommend this place!!

Wow, this place is absolutely amazing. Stopped in for take out on a Friday at 5. I went for the first time , now, I am addicted! Starting with the super nice young man taking orders, super patient and happy to explain everything on the menu to all who asked. Even with the line forming, he made each person feel like they were the only person in line. I ordered 2 meals with 2 meats, 2 sides and cornbread and 2 desserts. I loved it all, The pork, chicken and ribs were excellent, we had Mac and cheese, slaw and greens as the sides. The greens were my absolute favorite. On to the desserts.... we got both of the bannanna dishes. They just started making a new expresso , mint, bannanna dessert. The chef made it and brought it out for me to taste before I even left...I am in love! Looking forward to going back for Brisket. This place is such a great locally owned restaurant, go give them your support.

I have had barbecue all over the country and this place has some of the best I’ve had in general, and by a significant margin the best I’ve had in Florida. I’m partial to the brisket and ribs, but everything I’ve tried has been delicious (the bread pudding is phenomenal). On top of that, the staff is wonderful and welcoming. And then there’s the specials… you’ll come in expecting the BBQ staples, only to find that in addition to those is some magic whipped up by the chefs like curried oxtail, confit beef cheeks, venison, etc… absolutely unreal. After the first visit, Smoke and Fire became my favorite restaurant in Sarasota.

This was the best BBQ I’ve had in Florida. The pulled pork and brisket were so tender and juicy. Sides were homemade and delicious. Cornbread muffins were moist and so yummy. Really friendly staff who checked on us throughout our dining. I will recommend to anyone who likes barbeque!

The BBQ Brisket was amazing, full flavor (choice of sauces) very tender and full of flavor. Pulled pork was better than you’d ever dream about, shredded and tender. Even the Mac & Cheese is better than usual and different. Only open F, S, & S, with brisket on Friday only. We’ll never go to our former favorite BBQ restaurant again.
We stopped here on our way to Miami, and it was honestly the best decision. The service was amazing, especially with our girls, everyone was so warm, attentive, and kind.
We ordered ribs, chicken, and pulled pork, and everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and very tender. The restaurant was spotless, with a fresh and pleasant smell throughout.
From start to finish, everything was perfect. We highly recommend this place and would definitely come back. Thank you guys!!

Friday night specials range from Venison to beef cheeks to smoked curry braised lamb shanks all worth a long trip. The Friday night specials do not replace brisket on the Friday night menu, they are their own entity along with the staples. The brisket which is to die for quite simply is just not ready until Saturday each week and that stays through Sunday. Amazing place, even better food.

Very good chicken and ribs. Both were very meaty. They were a little saltier than I'd prefer, but probably fine for others. We went on a Friday, so they don't have brisket as it was replaced with venison (for $51). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Without Nancy's anymore, this is as good a BBQ as your going to get!

THANK YOU!, for the most TENDER, JUICY, TASTY BRISKET.........WOW, FANTASTIC and the most DELICIOUS BOURBON BAKED BEANS....EXCEPTIONAL FLAVOR I didn't try anything else because I instantly became addicted to the BRISKET AND BEANS. This was my first visit on 10-12-25. I'm from Tampa and was visiting relatives. I will DEFINITELY be back next weekend for more Brisket and Beans, might even see the relatives again. AGAIN, THANK YOU for an OUTSTANDING MEAL. You should put a warning label on the menu, about the addiction consequences after eating your food.
