After trying a few French restaurants and cafes in the Tampa Bay area, this is by far the most authentic French place. I stopped by this place every chance I get whenever I am in the area. The brie and prosciutto baguette sandwich is really delicious. The coffee is better than Starbucks. It is not bitter and acidic. The husband-wife owners are friendly and the family is lovely. Merci for keeping everything authentically French.

Absolutely loved our experience at So French Café! I had the goat cheese baguette and the Dubai latte—both were nothing short of phenomenal. The flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The décor is modern yet inviting, creating the perfect ambiance for a relaxing brunch.
This place is a solid 10/10 brunch spot—my date and I were both blown away. To top it all off, the owner is an absolute sweetheart and made us feel so welcome. You can tell there's passion behind every detail here. Can’t wait to come back!

I would like to start this review with the biggest issue overall about this business: the degrading and horrible replies to other reviewers on Google. If you were considering trying this place, please read the owners responses and think again. I'm sure I will get one on this review shortly.
Drove by today and decided to stop in.. What a mistake. Overpriced and burnt coffee. We couldn't even drink it.
The gentleman that took our order and touched the credit card machine also started the process of making our coffee. I watched him touch the ice with his bare hands with no hand washing in between.
In addition, the woman who decorated our coffee grabbed the base of the spoon (that she used to stir our coffees with). We were very disturbed.
Finally, the prices advertised for the chocolate was not what was charged. So disappointed with the overall experience.

Quirky little place in a strip mall that could be worth coming and trying. A clothing rack in the back, Congo drums and a full bar usually mean a night club type place. We came for a lunch/brunch and the food was quite good. Paper plates and playlist cups didn’t detract from the good food. If you don’t mind quirky gave this place a try.

I had the best Cafe mocha EVER! And then I had a delightful Almond croissant! Service was so courteous and friendly. It was like going back in time to the days of the local coffee house. So French is so nice.! ❤️😁🌹

J’adore So French! The Naty crepe is my favorite, and the baked goods are perfection. Naty and Charlie are the best hosts, and Aidan is a wonderful server. The atmosphere is so charming that you will not want to leave. Go out of your way for this French gem- it is by far the best you will find anywhere in Sarasota!!

Wish I had read the negative reviews prior to coming here! The food was bland (also no orange juice, syrup, or hot sauce). The insecure and arrogant owner definitely hires like-minded staff; so condescending, rude, and unpleasant! Too pushy with their recommendations, waiter kept trying to change our orders to what he thought was best, no thanks! With so many other great options in the area to dine at, I can guarantee my family and I will never be back! What a wonderful restaurant. I have traveled extensively in France and found this hidden jewel in my backyard. The food is not only exceptional, but also true to French cuisine. You have to try the croissants and baguettes which are freshly prepared daily. The crepes and sandwiches are superb as well as the desser pastries. I strong recommend this restaurant. It is definitely worth the drive.
